Ok here's my scenerio. I am playing Russia in the GC. In a recent war w/P-L I took control of their only muslim territory.I forget the name of it (I am at work right now) , but it does start with the letter 'K'.It's the one right next to the Chimera capital province. Why I took control on the muslim 'scum' I have no clue.....believe me I have stayed away from owning ANY muslim territory...they just don't agree with my Orthodox ways I suppose.

Anyhow my question is this. This province is always rebelling (no wonder with the low tolerance I put on them). So what I have done is waited until the population goes under 5000 then I send off a colonist. Problem is the computer won't let me send in a colonist.I thought as long as the population is under 5K you can , and at the same time changing theier religion to yours (like what I did with Sweeden's provinces up north from Protasent (sp?) to Orthodox.

Please help..would like to do something with this province.

The population was at 4980 w/1% growth. I had the money.I had the colonists. The city was on fire but still in control of me.The growth as I watched it took 5 months to get back to 5000. More than enough time for my colonists to get there. When I click on the colonist icon I get that screen saying..'click on any green province'...but Krementjug is not green(even when population is below 5000). What gives?

If you infact OWN the province (not just controll it during a war), you have the money and a settler IME you should be able to send a missionary there if below 5000 in pop.
If it doesn't work, send the savefile to paradox as a bug report (check my FAQ for what to include).

reducing population

Hail Smurja,

A rebellion reduces a cities' population. It can reduce the population from 1% to 9% per month.
