Hey everyone! I started playing SD again last night and I had a couple of questions about the game that maybe the community can answer.
Specifically, I was wondering what the two best and two worst divisions for each side was. I played two rounds as Pegasus last night and enjoyed them, but I have no idea if they are any good, and what is considered good and bad anymore.
I was also wondering what a good division for each side was for relearning the game as well, even if they aren't the best divisions that could be played.
Short answers are fine, but I love long explanations :)

Pegasus isn't outstanding, but it's not awful either. You might find this useful:

12. SS-Panzer, 4th Armored, 15th Scots, and 17. SS-Panzergrenadiers all have the tools to handle almost any enemy in all three phases and are relatively easy to play at that. 5th Panzer has its silly income curve. The four at the bottom (716. Infanterie, 2nd French Armored, 6th Airborne, and Special Service Brigade) are very specialized for certain situations and are often generally unsustainable towards the end of the game as they just run out of steam.

Note this is just a general community opinion survey, but I think it's a fairly accurate order of things. In general multiplayer you still see almost all of the divisions regularly.

Would you say that the game balance is pretty solid, then, and that the better decks are mostly just more flexible? Or is it an issue that certain decks just can't really do well unless the stars align?

I would say the game is fairly balanced. The map will obviously factor (carpiquet with 6th AB is no bueno)

Most of the OP decks are that way mainly due to cost effectiveness of units. So 4th AD rifles or Gross Paris bomber spam.

4th AD
15th Scots
12th SS panzer
2nd Panzer.

Agreed, overall the balance is pretty good and severe shortcomings often come down to the matchup and the map (and the matchup on that map), especially with the new random map feature. Canadians and 101st Airborne, for example, aren't generally considered "as good" as 17. SS-Panzergrenadiers, but both are a hellish matchup for the 17. fighting over a big urban area.

Current meta are all armored decks that are strong in B. 4th armored, 2nd Panzer, 9th pz and 7th armored. @Red Army playerbase is higher than december so it aint like its getting lower. Its low but alive and you can find a game in 3-5 min usually.

Thanks @Protosszocker :) I've been watching the 3rd APT tournament on youtube (currently on match 7 of 19 on the channel) and learning a lot about the game from the tourney. Cheers, it was a blast watching you play!

Thanks thats what we do those tournaments for :) Fun to play and good stuff to watch for all you guys out there. I think there is no better promotion for sd than some good level games casted by some high quality casters like Vulcan or Rangroo and Khan.

About good learning decks:

2nd Inf as it has everything you can which for, best JAck of all Trades
9th pz. As it is the best to learn effective Tank combo fighting

The two games have their differences to be sure but with that kind of time logged I would be feeling pretty confident :)

I'll offer my Discord in a PM however I am away from my rig on business (which probably explains my rash of posting here)
