*Common problem on Steam* Game crash when I try to build airport

Hi,

Many people have the same issue so I decided to share it here, unfortunately I can't post in Bugs section.

My game crashed every time when I tried to build any airport. I turned off all mods and reinstall whole game - it didn't help.

Please find my error from Xcatcher below
System.NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object
at BuildingTool.SimulationStep () [0x00000] in <filename unknown>:0
at ToolManager.SimulationStepImpl (Int32 subStep) [0x00000] in <filename unknown>:0

Could you please support us with this issue and move this thread to the right section?

i have the exact same issue, i need to expand my industry but cant build any cargo airports or airports in general, ive been looking for a solution for 4 hours and have found none so thought i was the only one with this issue, would be very grateful if anyone has some useful advice on how to fix this.

Same issue here! I got the game from Epic store, so the problem is not Steam only. I am not using any mods, just the base game with few paid DLCs and CCP packs.

I'm having the exact same issue, alongside with the game lagging suddenly and I have no issues reported from the Mods.

I've unsubscribed to 100% of items from Steam Workshop
I've completely deleted and reinstalled the game
I've verified the game files
I've tried on a save game
I've tried on a new game

When I click on Cargo Airport and then move mouse away from UI I get error:

Object reference not set to an instance of an object [System.NullReferenceException]

I bought and installed Hotels DLC and Airports DLC... This appears to have resolved the issue for me
