Japan has just DoW nationalist CHina and I thought I would help out. I'm holding the line in Northern Shanxi, while Japan has landed further South along the Chinese coast. I have annexed Xibel San Ma, Tibet, Sinkiang and Yunnan. Manpower is currently .22 per day and my tech teams suck. I'm musing the China improvement pack. I'm not gonna have the manpower to go head to head with the Japanese.

Do you let the Japanese land on the coast and immediately counterattack them to kill their early landings or do you fall back to let the Japanese advance deep into Nationalist China before attacking out of the Communist north and try and cut them ff r wear them down by the eliminating small pockets of Japanese troops? I've managed to hold them off and defeat them before by guarding the coast and fighting in Shanxi but I'm wondeirng if my early annexations will hurt the Chinese cause in the long run. I let Japanese troops advance into Shanxi and immediately counterattack.

What I do is attack as soon as Japan releases Mengkukuo (that will mean most of the Shanxi territory taken by Japan). Move into Shanxi, making a line all the way to the coast...annex Mengkukuo and you have a nice area with which to place additional divisions to build up your forces attacking Manchukuo. The nationalists can take care of the coastal invasions on their side as long as Manchuria is secure, and you should have no problem with taking on the Japanese.

Oh, and I see you've allied with the nationalists...I wouldn't do that. Declare war independently and take all the land for yourself.

I figured it oout. I more or less let the Japanese land on the coast so they were very spread out once they advanced
