You are the first person to report a problem with the NA release.
Let's work this through and I am sure we can sort it out.

Please run a DirectX Diagnostic:
Start menu –Run - then type Dxdiag, then select each tab across the top of the window, and run the tests on each tab. Then select “Save All Information” button in the lower right of the window. This will bring up a dialog box to allow you to select a name for the file where the information will be saved. You can save it right on the desktop as this will make it easy to find. Then copy the contents of that file from the start to the heading that says “DirectX components” then paste what you have copied into a post in this thread.
 
If you are that worried then PM me the info.
You may have to break it down to smaller chunks since a PM can be max 1500 characters.

Since there are not hundrends of people here complaining about this issue (and believe me there would be :) ) it has to be something related to your particular system. Let me take a look at the info you supplied and get back to you.
 
Sorry It took so long to get back to you, PMs are harder to track for me.

I notice your sound card driver is out of date, please update that.
Completely wipe the game from your system then reinstall, apply the patch and then rebbot the system, then:
Also Switch the desktop to 1024x768 with color depth of 16BIT.
Also rename AVI folder to AVI _back, yess I know you tried that but everytime you reinstall it must be done again.
Make sure everything like virus protection is turned completely off.
 
I don't get it!
Keep checking back I am sure I will think of something, or someone else will see what I am missing, Unfortunately you did not want your DXdiag posted so they will not have much to go on. :(
 
Since you have started your own thread, which is proper, Let's deal with your problem there since it is totally different from this one.
