Comparison to Janes FLEET COMMAND?

This program sounds amazing. How will it compare to its only distant cousin ( I can remember) Fleet Command?

RTS - Is the speed variable (adjustable) as are most Paradox games?

Fleet Command, but more than that Harpoon, was one of the original inspirations for NWAC.

Yes, we do have free time compression in the game (obviously in PvP, the compression factor will be set).

DEFCON also has free time compression in PvP, I think it's pretty sweet, but obviously if you will allow for endless depth and menus in multiplayer it will not work.
