I was planning to "properly" release (ie. documentations and all relevant links) a 0.6j1 in a day or so (including all incorporated fixes in the meanwhile), which is why I didn't yet. I'm working on it, and should release our update properly within a day or two at most.
 
Nothing in 2.1.4 (or 2.1.5.1 beta) breaks mods.
 
I let the game at speed 2 or 3 and I noticed no particular problem, except that the game decelerates at the yearly save and at each new load (but better than it's used to be). Of course it's a bit slower than the vanilla but as more things happen and as you must take care of more things it's not really a problem for me.
