You may be right, yes...

Well I don't care much for Alaska and such - and I most certainly don't want all that much more of Northern Canada in anyway - but I do like that the continents are better alligned towards each other, as well as all of New Zealand being in...
Forgive me but I don't see the logic in here ;) Is Southern New Zealand then really so much more important that Northern Canada or Alaska? Is any of the 2 actually that important?

Btw, how do you plan yourself then to work with the projection issues? As far as I can see from the screens you posted before you pretty much stick to the paradox projection yourself (even too literally for my taste). As such you cannot really move South America more to the south as it should can you? And if one does stick to the paradox projection then vicky map is usable as template. I tested my 'theory' with North America, Australia, India/Indonesia and Africa and the projection fits exactly per continent thus. I might actually use that map for North America myself as really don't want to use the mercatorian projection ala MKJ here...

Northern Canada is nothing but ice, what use do I have of that? :p

New Zealand, however, was settled within the time frame I work with.

I'm sticking to the Paradox projection, as I consider it to be too much work otherwise. I know that I could improve some coastal details and stuff, but in many cases I won't. Because imo, the extra detail most often doesn't add much - other than perhaps leaving less room in a province or making it look more confusing. This is a game, after all.

Nope, I sadly cannot.

Interesting. However, I generally don't like the Victorian provinces - so I don't think this would be usefull to me.

that's true I suppose. Which still means you have to change the projection at least there though to get New Zealand entirely on the map ;)

Neither do I, but the vicky provinces are designed to be able to recreate more or less accurately for that projection, the 19th century political borders. For a mod like yours that could be useful I imagine, at least as a template. Unless that's not really your aim...? (I must confess that I never actually tried AoI so perhaps I'm just talking bullshit anyway :p )
