This is a very odd problem, and probably more software then the game
I have a 233 Mhz Pentium that pretty much makes the minimum requiremets (64 Megs of RAM, Windows 95, DirectX 7.0 etc...)
When I installed the game on Windows 95, the installation program said I needed Winsock 2.0 I hadn't heard of it, but installed it from the CD (this is US). After I installed it, I played the game for a few hours with no problem (It really kicks butt). However, when I got off, I was unable to use any program that related to the anything external (IE, Netscape browser, and Palm Pilot back up). We kept getting errors telling us that something.dll was missing. We uninstalled the game, and tried to uninstall the winsock program, but with no luck.
My questions
1) Is this Winsock 2.0 suffering some sort of compatibility issues with my software that can't be fixed?
2) Would this problem be solved by upgrading to Windows 98 or 2000? The help text implied that it was Windows 95 that needed the new program.
Any help is appreciated...
