Hey ya'll, it's been years since I've played CK2+ (a little after Sword of Islam), and I'm curious what the condition of the mod is. My wife and I are playing an MP game together, and we're having a blast with the base game with all the new DLC, but since both of us are kind of relearning the base game with all the changes, are we better off just playing the base game and waiting for the recode of the mod that seems to be in the works? I'd love to jump right into more detailed content (if I recall, there were more plots, ambitions, etc), but its already hard enough figuring out which triggers one is missing in order to pass that law or seize that title with the vanilla game, and I'm not sure we'll be able to discern what is and isn't a bug.

When would the best time to take up the mod again be?

Check out the announcement thread entitled "Back to the Drawing Board"

As for best time to get back into the mod...gut says maybe a year or two judging by the Holy Fury update.

Until then just play HIP, the map is a bit of a mess in parts of Europe but it's a good overall experience if you enjoy what CK+ offers.
