Dear Gang:

Good afternoon from Canada! I hope this finds you and yours well. As for me, I'm still fighting a bit of a headache.

I'd like to refer to this as my second lesson in conqueering. Let's say I have to conquer someplace like The Baleres down near Italy and Corsica and Spain has a firm foothold there. Do I declare war on Spain to conquer those islands? Is it the same for conquering anyplace else?

One side note: I downloaded the patch and it worked wonders, except for my little critical error problem. Fear not, Gus is being taken for a little troubleshooting when I get my next cheque. Hopefully, it'll cure everything.

The usual disclaimer applies.

Yes, declare war on the country that owns the province and take it over with your army. Remember, this does not mean you own it yet. If your enemy offers peace, decline, then offer him peace but demand the province you needed to conquer (and some gold or another province if you're doing well). This can be done in the diplomacy screen, or right-click on your enemey and click 'offer peace'. A second menu pops up letting you demand provinces and/or gold for peace.
