conquistador without something to discover

As Helvetia I received 3 conquistadors in random events in the first 60 years. This game has some weird sense of humor, because what can I do without explorers or the possibility to get maps ?

Can I use them in wartime or against rebels ? They have 3-0-0 while my normal leaders have 1-0-1.

3-0-0 should help reduce attrition during sieges, and while moving around. Combat-wise, I'm not sure if that 'movement bonus' offers advantages.

Its gets me so irriteded I like to conquire new nations and dont have so high developt navy and gets a conquistador.

First, a conquistador's ratings don't apply within Europe, so he's probably not as good as your generics.

So, secondly, his only European use is his higher support capacity. While this can be extremely useful, Helvetia's hardly surrounded by particularly supply poor provinces!
