How do you get a conquistidor? I have been playing for a while, however, I am unable to explore any of the interior's. Please help

You gets it from events but when you reach military techlevel 11 (i think) you can explore Terra Incognita with all landunits without Conquistadores. I dont really remember which tech level it is for Navalunits.
21 for naval units.
But conquistadors and explorers are historical and for example Austria doesn't get any, while Portugal and Spain get a lot eary on. So if you could tell us what country are you playing...

I was also at a loss about this when I first started out. Check the "leaders" page of the ledger book to see if you have any. The page will show both explorer types and special generals. In case you don't know (and I didn't for a while)to get to the ledger book (or whatever it's called) and to see all kinds of very valuable info just click on the book at the bottom of the info screen that's on the left of the game screen. Clear as mud?
