-Lend Lease act with Norway. AYE. The rage of Hitler will be terrible. I'm sure he will try to invade Norway once again. They need help and we shall provide it.
-Build forts in 5 provinces. AYE. If we fortify the Pyrenees, no armored division will enter in Spain. The Norwegian orography beat the German tanks so we have to use it too in our favor.

245px-Miajaener1937.jpg

Cabinda, the door of Angola, has been conquered after two months of severe combats. 890 corageous marines died during the invasion. The airbase in Bata gave us the chance to send the bombers to the region and destroy the defenses of the Portuguese army. Now, Angola is ours. We've sent the Colonial Guards to Luanda and they've conquered without resistance. Our way until Nova Lisboa is clear according to our intel. Operation Trajan will give us the coastal regions of Angola before July. Without them, Salazar will not have access to oil anymore. The new objective for the following months will be just this: conquering the coastal part of this colony. Our official death toll is 5325 casualties by 5805 of the Portuguese.

The war is becoming a world war. The British launched two offensives in Africa: Eastern Libya is being successfully invaded meanwhile Ethiopia is being attacked from the colony of Somaliland. Moreover, the French Resistance launched a campaign in mainland France that obtained some interesting victories in cities like Biarritz or Dunkirk. However, without the support of the British Army, I'm sad to recognize that all these partisan movements will be crushed by the Wehrmacht easily.

After the failure of the invasion of Norway, Italy and Germany decided to attack another two neutral countries: Yugoslavia and Greece. Mussolini and his imperial ambitions dragged Hitler to a war in the Balkans, a new front that, without foreign help, will be easy for the enormous power of the Panzer Divisions. Maybe some kind of resistance can be established in the Aegean Islands if the Royal Navy sends their ships. Before the entrance of the German troops, the two Kingdoms successfully fought the Italians, conquering a small part of Albania and the coast of Croatia. However, the nazi armies are something completely different.
tGcDaLl.png

Finally, I must inform you about the fall of Siam. The Japanese Empire conquered the entire Indochina without effort and now Great Britain and China are alone against the nipon threat. Maybe Philippines, the Dutch Indies and Australia will be the next countries targeted by the hordes of Hirohito. In China, the Japanese are advancing slowly, but everyday they occupy some towns. In Southern China, they successfully disembarked and took the province of Zhangjiang. They will continue advancing until Hong Kong and Shanghai, I presume.

We approved the Lend Lease Act with Norway and we settled the construction of 3 destroyers and 3 escorts in our shipyards of Cadiz and Ferrol. We approved the creation of a chain of fortresses across the Euskera and Navarrese borders with France, but it will start when we obtain the OK of the regional governments. Meanwhile I'm glad to announce that we've inaugurated the airfields of Villa Cisneros and Bata, a key airport for the Operation Trajan. We still continue industrializing the colonies and moving state-owned industries to these places in an attempt to maintain our basic sectors functioning in case of German invasion.

With the invasion of Yugoslavia and Greece, we can be the next target and we must be prepared. Nowadays, we arrived to the number of 759.000 active personnel in the army, protecting our coasts, maintaining Portugal under control and fighting in Angola or the Atlantic Sea. We will win the war against Salazar, I promise.

FEBRUARY-MAY 1941

The uprising of France

General gives an speech on the BBC
LONDON. French General Charles de Gaulle became the leader of the Free France. In this appeal, the General urged all the French to join the resistance and fight against Adolf Hitler and the traitors of Vichy. Some colonies joined his call. The French Chad, Cameroon and Gabon have been the first ones to declare their loyalty to the government of De Gaulle meanwhile Equatorial Africa, Morocco and Algeria continue under Vichy's regime.

Thousands of partisans launched a campaign against the Germans in mainland France, having some success in the Northern regions of the nation. However, it's soon to see the French flag on the top of the Eiffel Tower. The vast power of the Wehrmacht is overwhelming for the Free forces but it is expected that, with the help of the British Army, the Free France will start to reconquer territories in Africa during the next months.

Great Britain strikes back
Bren-gun-carriers.jpg

British gun-carriers advancing across Libyan desert

Alexandria. British forces have launched the Operation Compass, a major offensive in order to retake Western Egypt and the East part of the Italian Libya. With massive use of tanks and motorized infantry, the British forces pursued and captured thousands of Italian soldiers on their wat to the Cyrenaica.

Moreover, in Ethiopia, the British forces are capturing province after province after months of siege. The Italians are facing a complete defeat in Eastern Africa if they do not receive some kind of support from the Germans.

Angola is ours!

Santa Isabel. Two months after the launch of the Operation Trajan, the 3rd and 4th Fleets finally entered in the ports of Cabinda and Luanda. The jungle of the Portuguese exclave has been one of the hardest terrains the Navy Infantry ever fought. With less than a thousand soldiers, using guerrilla tactics, the Portuguese difficulted our 20.000 soldiers on their way to obtain the total control of the province.

On May, 30th, our troops reached the Eastern border with the Belgian Congo and, three days later, the Colonial Guard of Federico Gómez de Salazar disembarked in Luanda with the help of the 4th fleet of Kuznetsov and accepted the surrender of its mayor. These troops will have the duty to arrive to Nova Lisboa meanwhile the 1st and 2nd Regiments of Navy Infantry will capture the Southern regions of Angola during the next month.

245px-Miajaener1937.jpg

The operation Trajan has been a success. After beating general Norton Matos in Benguela and Nova Lisboa, our troops are closer to conquer the entire Angola. We discovered that Salazar's loyalists and himself flew to Mozambique, where they will continue resisting our attacks. It is true that we're too far from Mozambique to launch an invasion there and the United Kingdom or South Africa won't grant us military access unless we join the Allies so I must recognize that Salazar will be safe there. Now, our duty is to conquer Açores, Cape Verde and the Portuguese Guinea as soon as possible. I will announce the end of the Operation Rome and the beginning of the Operation Trident, that will need the support of our Submarine fleet and the 1st and 2nd flotillas. Moreover, the African Army of General Bosch i Grassi will be mobilized.

NAC_CUL_web_42.jpg

Nazi Germany launched their ultimate invasion: the attack to the Sovier Union. With the help of Hungary, Bulgaria, Romania and Finland, which joined the Axis, they declared the war to Stalin. The fate of Europe and the Free World is on his hands. If Russia can stand against the nazis and the US finally gets involved, the Allied powers might have a chance to win this war.

Moreover, they completely defeated Yugoslavia and Greece and conquered Malta and Cyprus. The situation is becoming more and more dangerous for the Allies. Norawy has been invaded again and now they don't have the British support to stop the massive attack by Hitler and his hordes.

The situation in Africa is not good. Italy conquered the British and French Somalia and they successfully advanced towards Sudan. Meanwhile, the British troops are fighting the Germans and Italians in the Libyan desert.

In Asia, China is becoming surrounded by the Japanese, who launched an invasion from the South. A massive pincer movement that would give the Japanese the biggest stockpile of human resources of the world. The British and the Chinese must resist. Meanwhile we continue our fight with Portugal, we must continue overseeing our border with France. If the nazis beat the Soviet Union, we will be the next.

JUNE-SEPTEMBER 1941

Germany invades the Sovier Union
150101-004-995721DE.jpg

German soldiers fighting in the Soviet Union as part of Operation Barbarossa
Moscow. Starting Sunday, 22 June 1941, more than one million German troops crossed the Soviet border. Codenamed by the German Chief of Staff "Operation Barbarossa", the invasion of the Communist country has become the largest invasion in History since the Great War. The Red Army has been defeated in Poland, Belarus, Latvia and Lithuania and now they're resisting in Estonia and Ukraine. Stalin mobilized the entire country in an attempt to stop Hitler's ambitions and win the "Patriotic War". Soviet High Command, led by Stalin, called for a general counteroffensive on the entire front "without any regards for borders" that both men hoped would sweep the enemy from Soviet territory.

Finland's Prime Minister Vaino Kivisalo joined the Axis but refused to declare the war against the Soviet Union, something that helped the United States and Great Britain to maintain the Arctic corridor. Nowadays, the Americans and the British are sending day after day weapons, planes and special supplies to the Red Army via the Arctic Ocean and the Far East.

Everyone knows that the fate of the Free World, ironically, is on Stalin's hands.

Hitler conquers Yugoslavia and Greece
220px-Ante_Paveli%C4%87_und_Joachim_von_Ribbentrop.jpg

Croatian dictator Ante Pavelic and German Foreign Affairs Minister, Von Ribbentrop
Alexandria. The 17th of July, the Yugoslavian King signed the unconditional surrender. The 25th of August, the Greek King did the same. Germany, with the support of the Italian and Bulgarian armies, successfully invaded and conquered the Balkans, reaching the island of Crete before the end of summer. Despite the British and the ANZAC's support, the Greeks couldn't beat an army that, after the defeat in Norway, seems to be invincible again.

Hitler proclaimed the Independent State of Croatia in August the 1st, with Duke of Aosta as new King of the country under the name of Tomislav II and controlled de facto by the fascist Ante Pavelic. Furthermore, there are some rumours that the Serbian controlled area can be an independent satellite state of Germany in few months.

Winston Churchill elected as new British PM
50th-Anniversary-Death-of-Winston-Churchill-Facts-247493.jpg

First Lord of the Admiralty Winston Churchill will be th enew PM of the United Kingdom
London. After the disastrous defeats in Malta, Cyprus and Somalia, the Prime Minister Ramsay MacDonald resigned. Then, the Wartime Coalition designated former First Lord of the Admiralty Winston Churchill as Prime Minister of Great Britain. His speech "blood, toil, tears and sweat" has been broadcasted all around the world by the BBC.

When the new Prime Minister answered a question about an hypothetical invasion of Great Britain by the Nazy armies, the answer has been clear: "We shall never surrender". It seems that the new leader of the world's largest nation will be a tough opponent for Hitler and his lackeys.

The Trident operation has been a terrible idea. Depsite the easy conquest of Cape Verde, we suffered several defeats storming the beaches of Açores and Bissagos islands. The Portuguese were more prepared than we thought. We suffered 3.738 casualties while trying to invade those places. At the moment we suffered 9.641 casualties by 8.838 from the Lusitanian side. I'm the responsible of these defeats so I will resign from the position of General in Chief of the Group of Armies West. It seems that this amphibious war needs someone younger and capable to do that.

It has been an honor to serve this army as Minister of War and General during the Civil War and the war against Salazar. I hope the Chief of Staff, General Rojo and my fellow comrade, Minister Martínez Cabrera, will accept my resignation.

NAC_CUL_web_42.jpg

Resignation accepted, General. You will be transferred to the Reserve Army, which will be under your command. General Enrique Líster will be the new head of the Group of Armies West. With 34 years old, he will be the youngest 4-star general of the Republican Army. However, he showed an impressive talent for strategy during the Civil War so I think he will do it really well. His duty will be to capture Açores and Guinea Bissau before summer.

245px-Enrique_L%C3%ADster_1936_%28cropped%29.JPG

Generals, thnak you for the promotion. My plan is easy and I called, following the "Roman tradition": Operation Scipio. Like he did in the past with Carthago, we must focus first on one target and then the other. We easily can overwhelm their troops by sending three flotillas and deploy the Colonial Guards, an Infantry Division (in Cape Verde after the defeat in Bissagos islands), two Navy Infantry regiments (in Angola and Santa Isabel) and the Sahara Forces (in Villa Cisneros). With more than 40.000 soldiers, they will resist maybe two months but they will be defeated sooner or later. Moreover, I ordered the support of the 1st, 3rd and 8th Squadrons, all of them equipped with the new Hawley-Page Harrows purchased to Great Britain. Lieutenant Colonel Aguado will be the man in charge of the ground forces.

This operation will be 4 times larger than the Alhucemas disembark, and will be the more ambitious amphibious operation of our history. We will succeed, I promise you.

NAC_CUL_web_42.jpg

Everyone hopes that you will be right, General. Show the rest of the world what we're able to do. Well, here's my monthly report of the war in Europe and Asia. On November, 6th, 300 Japanese planes attacked Pearl Harbour, an American military base in Hawa'ii. The United States, the sleeping giant, declared the war to Japan and one month later did the same with Germany. With them, the Allies will have the world's largest industrial superpower backing their military efforts. However, the Japanese arrmy seems to be unstoppable. In China they continue with the pincer movement that, in case of success, will mean that the Emperor will control the whole Easter coast of Asia. Only Siberia will resist.

Two weeks after the Sha joined the Axis, the troops from the Soviet Union and the United Kingdom successfully invaded the country and overthrown the Sha. Now Iran has been divided between the two superpowers. Now the Allies control the vast oilfields of Iran. Moreover, I'm glad to see that the troops from South Africa, the Anzac and the United Kingdom defeated the Germans and in El-Alamein. The Afrika Korps is retreating from Egypt and Alexandria and the Suez Canal will continue under Allied control. Ethiopia and Somalia are being attacked too and some parts of Sudan have been recovered.

However, the best news by far, that we have is that the Winter arrived to Russia and the Red Army stopped the German armies in something that the local press called the "Stalin Line". A fictional line that goes from Tallin to Odessa (crossing Narva, Vitebsk, Smolensk and Kyiv) a front of more than one thousand kilometers long, seems to be too big, even for Adolf Hitler and his Panzer divisions. Meanwhile he is stopped there and the British are starting the counter-offensive in Africa, there might be a chance for victory. The United States should attack the Japanese in the Pacific and the Germans in France and Morroco. If Hitler has three fronts opened, he can be defeated. And, if we succeed defeating Salazar this year after the capture of Bissau and Açores, I will personally ask the Prime Minister to join the Allies and fight the fascism.

SPECIAL ELECTIONS

Carlists win tied elections, War government is formed
o-centro.jpg

Manuel Portela Valladares will be Prime Minister of the Republic for the second time after his resignation
Madrid. The General Elections of November 24th had no real winner. Without coalitions, there has been a technical draw between three forces, all of them from the centre to right-wing spectre. Comunión Tradicionalista (purged after the Civil War and allied with the Agrarian Party), brought the conservative voters together to obtain the 21% of the votes. The CEDA, purged too before being legalized again, and led by the centrist Manuel Portela Valladares, obtained the 15% of the total scrutiny, becoming tied with the Radical Party of Alejandro Lerroux. The left parties have been defeated this time, and some experts say that it is because of the war with Portugal, a conflict that had to be short but it is far to come to an end.

The carlists, unable to pact with anyone, accepted the leadership of Portela Valladares in exchange for a total support on their conservative reform plan and a referendum to end the war by the end of the year. Moreover, the largest left party, Izquierda Republicana, accepted to join a War Cabinet until the end of the war with Portugal or 1945, a year where new elections will be announced. The Minister of War and the Chief of the Army will continue being General Don Toribio Martínez Cabrera and General Don Vicente Rojo. Captain Don Francisco Núñez de Olañeta, a carlist navy officer, will obtain the Ministry of the Navy, something that might not be accepted by the echelon of the navy, a Soviet-alligned sector of the Armed Forces especially led by Admiral Nikolai Kuznetsov. Don Felipe Díaz Sandino will continue being the Minister of the Air.

The Radicals and the centrist republicans obtained two Ministries: Industry and Science will be led by Don Manuel Torres Campaña and Security will be under the direction of Doña Victoria Kent, being the first woman in the world in modern history to obtain that charge. During the civil war she was appointed as Director of the General Bureau of Prisons so it is known that the left parties will accept that designation. The leftist republican Don Bibiano Fernández Ossorio obtained the Ministry of Supply and Armament meanwhile the Agrarian Don José Martínez de Velasco will become the Head of the Spanish Diplomacy.

Japanese landing in Chomburi, Thailand

SINGAPORE. The Japanese Empire obtained a massive victory in Thailand without fighting. The Siamese king unconditionally surrendered after the invasion of the country by the Imperial Army. Churchill's hopes of forging an alliance with Thailand ended sadly. The King also granted Japan permission to use Siam as a base of operations to invade Malaya, allowing the Japanese bombers to carry raid on strategic bases in Malaya and Singapore from a short distance. Moreover, it is clear that the Imperial Army is becoming ready to invade Burma. Will be they prepared to maintain three fronts fighting with the British, the Americans and the Chinese?

Rumours of massacre in Nanjing shake the world
c98bc4eb15.jpg

Japanese troops entering in Nanjing
SINGAPORE. According to some sources, the Imperial Army is committing atrocities against the civilian population of the Republic's capital, Nanjing. The ground forces of the Emperor overwhelmed the tired defenders and, after the occupation of the city, they started a massive campaign of plundering, raping and murder. The Chinese ambassadors talk about 200.000 and 300.000 civilian murdered. If it is true, this is a genocide for the eyes of any civilized person and the ones who perpetrated such atrocity must be punished.
Foreign Minister Don José Martínez officially demanded the complete embargo on Japanese exports.

Generals, the Second battle of Bissagos Islands is the largest amphibious operation that our nation has planned. On February 1st, 40.000 men under the command of Colonel Ortega Gutiérrez, leader of the Comandancia de Canarias, will try to reach Bissau. The difficult terrain frustrated our last invasion but this time we're too many soldiers. We will overwhelm their troops and we will conquer Guinea before April. Then, we will focus on Azores Archipelago.

bVkay0D.png

I listened that the new government wants to hold a referendum to end the war with Portugal by the end of the year so we must act quickly. 10.000 corageous soldiers died for the sake of the Portuguese people. It is our duty to restore the democracy there at all costs. For that reason, I ordered the SECN to develop new engines to reach the coasts of Mozambique at the end of summer. Moreover, we're studying the possibility to send airborne troops there too. Salazar's exiled government is living quietly there meanwhile the soldiers are fighting against us in the coasts of Guinea.

NAC_CUL_web_42.jpg

We all hope that Operation Scipio will be a success, General Líster. I would like to inform you that the Italians are being defeated once again in Africa. With the support of the French Free colonies and the colonial armies of Iraq, the British are reconquering Sudan and entered in Ethiopia. Furthermore, they entered again in Libya. The Axis won't take Alexandria.

I'm glad to say that the Stalin's line is working. The frosty Soviet winter became a key ally for the Russian troops and they maintained the invaders out of Kyiv and Estonia. It's something amazing. However, when spring comes, I think the Germans will advance again but now, with America at war, the chance to create to fronts in Europe is more than possible. But the Americans have a big trouble on the other side of the world: Japan. Meanwhile Hitler is stuck in Ukraine and Belarus, the Empire of Japan is advancing more and more through China. They even started the invasion of Dutch East Indies! If they control these islands they will have an important source of oil to maintain the Imperial Fleet. It is important than the Dutch and the British, with the support of the ANZAC, keep this archipelago under their control. The following months will be crucial.

Gentlemen, we successfully conquered Bissau. It has been a tough battle but the men of Colonel Ortega have been very brave. We've lost 2033 troops meanwhile the Portuguese lost 3871. However, we continue fighting in the Azores so the Operation Scipio stills active. The Ministry of War decided to end the operation Trajan (occupation of Angola and Sao Tomé) and engage Operation Cevallos, a nickname that honors Pedro Antonio de Cevallos Cortés y Calderón, gobernor of Buenos Aires that defeated the Portuguese in Uruguay two centuries ago. This operation, that will be under my command too, has only one objective: the conquest of Mozambique, forcing the inconditional surrender of Portugal before the Referendum of December promised by the new Cabinet.

If we conquer Mozambique, Salazar's Portugal will be reduced to Macao and Timor Leste. I hope conquering Azores will be enough but, if they still want to keep fighting, we shall go forward. I ordered Admiral Buiza to prepare the transport ships of Angola. Before the end of summer, we should be able to invade and conquer few provinces of Mozambique with some of the troops deployed in Angola. If 10.000 aren't enough, we will keep moving Navy Infantry from the Peninsula to that theatre.

If everything goes as we expect, before the arrival of summer (Southern Hemisphere), we shall have completed the conquest of Mozambique.

Thank you, General. The World War gives us good and bad news. The good weather helped Germany and its allies to advance into the Soviet Heartland. The Stalin's Line has been surpassed and they're fighting in the streets of Leningrad meanwhile the Southern Armies are advancing through Ukraine.

The Japanese sucessfully annexed Thailand and they're now fighting in Birmania. China is close to capitulate and they started the invasion of Philippines, a puppet state of United States. Everyone is expecting the Americans to intervene against them sooner or later. I hope it will be sooner or the Japanese will be too powerful to face them.

Meanwhile, in Africa, United Kingdom and the colonies of Belgium and France successfully erased the Italian presence from Eastern Africa and they invaded Libya once again. It seems the decisive invasion, though. In my humble opinion, if the Americans doesn't send their troops to Europe and Asia soon, the Germans will defeat the USSR and United Kingdom. If this happens, we can be the next. We signed a treaty protecting Ireland and Switzerland. How many time will the ravenous Hitler last until decide that Spain and these other countries must be part of the Third Reich? We must end the war with Portugal and get ready to fight the Germans if the Americans send their enormous manpower to Europe.

JANUARY-APRIL 1942

The battle of Bissau ended. Spain wins

Colonel Ortega Gutiérrez, hero of the Battle of Bissau
Bissau. After an unseccessful invasion, the Operation Scipio launched by the General Lister has finnally achieved the main target of the Spanish Army these last months: the capture of Portuguese Guinea: the last stronghold of Salazar in west Africa. After two tough weeks fighting in the Bissagos islands, the 40.000 army led by Ortega Gutiérrez successfully reached Bissau and accepted the surrender of the few Portuguese troops that were protecting the city.

With Bissau under Spanish control, Salazar only has the Azores, Mozambique, Goa, Macao and Timor Leste under his control. If the first falls during the next weeks, it is possible that the dictator accepts the surrender and democracy can return to Portugal once again.

The Japanese invades Philippines

Singapore. With the Chinese front close to an end, the Japanese opened a new front by invading the Philippines, a puppet state of the United States. they've launched an amphibian invasion in a Northern province and they swept all the resistance they've found. It is expected that the Americans and the legendary guerrilla of Philippines will face the Japanese soon. Spaniards suffered a war against them and everyone know that Americans and Filipinos are tough. Now it's time for the Emperor to learn this hard lesson.

Australia and New Zealand promised their support to the governments of America and Philippines.

The Allies conquer Italian East Africa

Alexandria. During the last year, Italians reached Sudan and threatened Egypt. They conquered the entire French and British posessions in the Horn of Africa and they seemed to be a dangerous threat for the rest of Allied colonies. But now, the joined troops of South Africa, Free France, Belgium and the United Kingdom, finally occupied the former kingdom of Abyssinia and the 90% of Italian East Africa. The Italians only resist in Port Sudan and the Northernmost province of Somalia, but it is expected that they will accept the total surrender especially because of their lack of supplies. Il Duce's main concern is Libya, that is being invaded once again. However, Germany has sent more troops in order to keep Northern Africa under Axis control.

Dear generals, Azores is ours. The victory is closer than ever, we just have to push the last armies of Salazar and force him to sign a surrender. He might seek refuge in Macau or Portuguese Timor but we doesn't care: our main target is to establish democracy in Portugal as soon as possible and bring our troops back to the Peninsula. We have the German breath on our back and we must be prepared. After the combats held in Bissau and Azores our casualties' numbers continues lower than the Portuguese (12.408 by 13.210).

The 25th of June, we conquered the capital of the archipelago after losing 755 brave men from the Navy Infantry. Meanwhile, General Eixea Vilar and General Herrera Linares are leading the invader troops in Lourenço Marques and we know that they're fighting against the natives of general Martins da Costa in Quissico. I must tell to the assistants of this meeting that the war in Mozambique will be tough. In Angola we had the support of the population but in the Portuguese East Africa, the military controls the natives. However, we've deployed more than 20,000 veteran troops there so I'm confident with the final outcome.

Now the Commander-in-chief will give us the news of the World War.

Gentlemen, the Axis forces are winning the war. After the fall of Leningrad, the Nazi hordes are gaining Soviet provinces day after day: they completely surrounded Sebastopol and the Stalin's Line is being surpassed in the North and the South. Only in Belarus and near Smolensk the brave Red Army is resisting the Panzers. The 11th of July, the Republic of China surrendered giving its enormous territory and resources to the Japanese Empire. Hong Kong has fallen too.

The Emperor's victory in Asia seems closer than ever. Only the Americans, the British and the ANZAC and the last Chinese rebel factions (Yunnan, the Communists, Tibet and Xibei San Ma) continue fighting. I hope with the arrival of winter, the unstoppable march of the fascist regimes will be stopped again. If not, the Free world is doomed.

MAY-AUGUST 1942

Azores conquered, victory is closer than ever
marina.jpg

Spanish sailors celebrating the conquest of Azores
MADRID. After the fall of Azores during the last days of July, the Portuguese Regime has been swept out of the Western hemisphere. 755 brave soldiers from the Navy Infantry gave their lives in order to bring the Portuguese people the democracy they deserve.

The Operation Scipio has been a complete success and the Commander-in-Chief of the armies in Portugal, General Enrique Líster, one of the current world's most talented high-ranked officers, is awaiting the end of the Operation Cevallos (the invasion of Mozambique), where Salazar's Regime is making its last stand. The fleet has been mobilized and sent to Angola in order to provide supplies and more troops to Generals Eixea and Herrera Linares, who are leading the Republican Army towards the capital of Portuguese East Africa.

The army wants a complete victory before the Referendum ordered by the Prime Minister Portela that might put an end to the war (recovering the statu quo ante bellum) something that no one from the Armed Forces desires. "Too many efforts and casualties for nothing" said a high-ranked officer from the Navy.

Japanese troops celebrating the Victory Day in the Great Wall
SINGAPORE. After years of intense combats, the government of Chiang Kai-Shek has surrendered to the troops of Emperor Hiro-Hito in Dongguang, near British Hong-Kong. The British harbor has been conquered too. Hundreds of thousands of men and women have been killed during this war and the International Community is afraid of what will the Japanese do to the population that are under occupation. It is known that thousands of soldiers crossed the border with Mongolia and Birmania in order to keep fighting the enemy as partisans or as members of the British Army.

The Japanese now control the entire East Asian coast, from Manchuria and Korea until Vietnam. Only some rogue states and the communists keep fighting the invaders meanwhile the Anglo-Saxon forces from UK, USA and the ANZAC continue fighting across Philippines, the Dutch Indies and Birmania.

MOSCOW. The Birthplace of the Revolution has fallen after months of siege. The unstoppable march of the Nazi forces through the Soviet birthplace couldn't have been stopped for a second time. Now, the Red Army is being re-organized in order to avoid Hitler's hordes advance until Moscow.

They've surrounded Sebastopol, the most important port of the Black Sea and overpassed the Stalin's Line in two of the three key points but they still having a lot of problems when they have to conquer the central steppe of Belarus and Western Russia. The Soviet echelon hopes that winter can freeze the front and give them time to send more troops to the North and South. Moreover, it is known that Stalin and Roosevelt started to collaborate together and the Americans began to send massive amounts of supplies and weapons to Russia via the Arctic Circle.
