I honestly have no idea how to solve this. I have updated drivers, run scans, and even upgraded PC components. Any help would be appreciated. I have the same issue with all paradox games recently.

Unusually, you are seeing a problem with both the AMD and Nvidia video drivers:
Fault bucket LKD_0x141_Tdr:6_IMAGE_amdkmdag.sys-SCH, type 0
Event Name: LiveKernelEvent

Fault bucket LKD_0x141_Tdr:6_IMAGE_nvlddmkm.sys_Ada, type 0
Event Name: LiveKernelEvent
Not sure I've ever seen that before! I've normally recommend a clean reinstall of the affected driver, but to happen to two unrelated ones ...

Plus there are other LiveKernelEvent entries there that don't call out those drivers. LKE entries happens when the whole computer crashes, or is forcibly rebooted - have you seen that happen, is it related to this game/these games, or something else?

When you say all Paradox games, which ones exactly?

For this game,
Right click on victoria3.exe , properties, compatibility. Tick "disable fullScreen optimisations" untick every other box in that dialog, Apply and exit.
Then in the launcher Game Settings menu, select fullScreen display mode, Vsync off, cap refresh rate at 60.

Any better?

Thanks for the reply. I did reinstall both drivers and that didn't seem to help. I've factory reset my PC too and that didn't help. However, I did just update my BIOS which might have solved the issue. I'll confirm back after I have a longer gameplay session.

I play Viky3, EU4, HOI, and CK3. I've also experienced crashes with other games which means it's probably my hardware / system software but I was hoping I would get some help here. I hope the BIOS update will resolve this.

Looks like my BIOS update didn't fix my issue. Could this be caused by some desync between my computer and OneDrive? The crash files seem to be generated within my OneDrive folder and not on a local folder.

If OneDrive has taken over, your Windows User Documents folders are on it as that is where all our games write their settings, log and crash files. Right click on Documents in the left column of File Explorer, just under This PC there. Go to properties, location. What does it say in there?

That said, that ought to work OK as long as OD is running and syncing perfectly. And it failing to do that won't be causing those video driver errors or LiveKernelEvent entries.

And you didn't answer this:
LKE entries happens when the whole computer crashes, or is forcibly rebooted - have you seen that happen, is it related to this game/these games, or something else?
You could look at those in your Windows Event Viewer utility, see if there are any further clues.

If you have any over-clocking active in hardware, on any component, try undoing that.

You could try this Windows repair tool

Good luck!

Yeah the location says "C:\Users\neill\OneDrive". OK, I wasn't sure if that would cause anything. I just don't get why it happens at random times so I thought maybe that was desyncing and causing the issue.

No, I haven't had any bluescreens. Just the game crashing.

I've run the sfc /scannow a few times and haven't noticed anything wrong. Just re-ran without finding anything.

I haven't overclocked anything.

There doesn't seem to be anything obvious in the Window Event Viewer.

I re-installed windows, re-installed chip drivers, re-installed GeForce Drivers, re-installed MSI drivers, re-installed AMD drivers, I ran the troubleshooters which did detect a problem with Windows Updater but the troubleshooter doesn't seem to be fixing it. This is tied to WaasMedicFailure2 which doesn't seem to be something to worry about. Even though I have checked for updated regularly. This is all in addition the the updated BIOS I said above. I've attached an updated DxDiag for reference.

I appreciate the help! This has been a pain.

No more driver errors or LKE in there, so maybe that is some sort of progress.

With our changed settings above the game ought to be capped to 60 fps - is that what you see in the game, or it is exceeding that?

Do these crashes happen more as the game goes on (ie period of play), or can be soon after you start this game?

When one happens can you reload the game and carry on right away? Or you need to w3ait a while, or reboot, before it will run again?

Progress is good!

I don't have the FPS visible as a default so I don't watch it closely but I just jumped in and yes it seems to be capped at the 60 fps.

This is kind of the frustrating part because it's super inconsistent. It will crash but it does seem to have a decent variance to it. I've had it happen as early as right away or after an hour. I've attached a screenshot of my crash folder which kind of shows the timing. Seems to be typically around 30min in.

Yeah, basically I just reload right away and continue playing without issue until it crashes again. So I guess my downtime is rather minor but I obviously want to understand what's happening. I've never had to reboot or repair the files to make it work again.

I downloaded windbg and ran the minidump and got the following image_name nvwgf2umx.dll. This is my first time doing this and I honestly don't really know what this is. However, google says it has the same troubleshooting steps we've been discussing

That's part of the Nvidia video driver, but you're on the latest and I'm not seeing other such reports with it.

60/61 fps is fine and not causing your problem as such.

GeForce Experience is definitely NOT loaded and running now, is that right?

Please install and run the free utility Speccy. Send its output to a text file and attach that here, thanks.

Please unload all these apps/utilities, OR you may have to go into Startup Apps and disabled them, then reboot:
C:\Program Files (x86)\MSI\MSI Center\Engine\CC_Engine_x64.exe
C:\Program Files\WindowsApps\9426MICRO-STARINTERNATION.MSICenter_2.0.39.0_x64__kzh8wxbdkxb8p\DCv2\DCv2.exe
C:\Program Files (x86)\MSI\MSI Center\MSI.CentralServer.exe
C:\Program Files (x86)\MSI\MSI Center\MSI.TerminalServer.exe
C:\Program Files (x86)\MSI\MSI Center\Case\MSI_Case_Service.exe
C:\Program Files (x86)\MSI\MSI Center\MSI_Central_Service.exe
C:\Program Files (x86)\MSI\MSI Center\Super Charger\MSI_Super_Charger_Service.exe

C:\Program Files\AMD\CNext\CNext\RadeonSoftware.exe
Then test the game again - any better?

Yeah, I've done this and it didn't seem to help. I've been at a loss. It does seem to be more common with Steam Apps instead of non-steam games.

I do keep getting the following when I try to use the Window's Update Troubleshooter. I also did get a FLTMGR.sys bluescreen back on the 17th. I feel like there must be a Window's bug that I have that seems to be causing my apps to crash. I've re-installed windows and that hasn't helped.

Given all the weird errors and issues you've been getting, I don't often say this but I see no alternatives to either doing a Windows Reset/clean wipe and reinstall, OR having your hardware checked out by a professional.

Sorry about that!
