That's because they are announced as a later release not the same time then get delayed.
I still can't wait for CS2 on console but I'm still playing CS1 anyway, I've somewhat stopped waiting for updates and let them get on with what they do.

Colossal Order should have received their PS6 development kit by then so maybe 2027?
Let us all keep in mind, that even with the original game, which was done by a third party company, took 2 years to get to market for console.

Colossal Order seems to have gone from weekly communications last year to practically none this year, especially with regard to the console version which has been delayed since Oct 2023. I read "no news" as "bad news" - you would think if Paradox or Colossal Order had anything promising to say, they would say it!

I think when you reply to a post from July 2024 its kinds loses its efficacy. Not that I agree or disagree. I just came here thinking there was finally an update on the case of the disappearing devs. But alas.
My 2c worth: CS2 will never come to console, not the current gen.
Look at MS flight sim 2024. That's what happens when devs release a game that cannot and should not even be in the same room as any console platform.
How we arrive at a release date and only then do they care to inform people about it, is what leaves a bad taste. Then the 8/9 months since of absolutely zero info, brings the bad taste back like a 90s remix.
I'm happy to be proven wrong if it does eventually get released on console. Till then, I'll just build another lane in CS1 bro
