Brilliant news, can’t wait.
I have a few questions though which are:-

1. Do you know when Airports, Plaza’s and Africa in Miniture Expansions will be released on the Remastered Version of the game?

2. In the landscaping tool will there be an option for placing water and raising water levels (I really want to build lakes, streams, waterfalls..etc)?

3. What will be the new Cim’s and Nodes limitations be?

4. Can we turn off road parking? (very annoying when a car is parked on a roundabout)

5. Is there a new and improved traffic management system added to this version? (like the advance traffic management mod that’s available by the community).

6. Can we add more inbound and outbound connections to maps already built by yourselves?

7. If we create a map will trophy’s and upgrade unlockables still be earned?

Thank you so much for the update, so excited about this.

Answer 1. any DLCs including Airports DLCs is available for remaster upgrade on 15th Feb, during the fall 2023 plazas and promenades financial district and rest of CCPs and radio station will be available for remaster this fall although no date of when in fall.

answer 2-6 not sure about them

answer 7. As far as I know once you get remastered trophies and unique buildings will reset I guess because of different code.

I recommend that you buy the base game, but yes, you will be able to play using Game Pass and any dlc's you own.

I play for xcloud, then I bought the base game and I bought all the dlc's until Sunset Harbor for Microsoft Rewards credits.

  • No, unfortunately, the Remastered versions will only be available on PS5 and Xbox X|S. One of the main features we wanted to add was 25 tiles to build onto and sadly the older hardware of the PS4 and Xbox One would not be able to handle the simulation scale.​
When will I get access to the new features?
  • Release of Cities: Skylines remastered is February 15th! ​
Can I still play my old Cities: Skylines Saves?
  • Yes, you can still play the PS4 and Xbox One versions of Cities: Skylines, there you have access to your old saves. ​
If I buy any of the New DLCs that are not remastered yet, will I get them later?
  • Yes, any content purchased for either version will give you a free copy of the Remastered version once that piece of content becomes available.​
Will remastered be available for PC?
  • This is a Console-only update. The PC version of the game already has similar features that have not been accessible to the Console community - until now! ​
Will I have access to the remastered version automatically?
  • You need to download the remastered version of the base game and your DLCs manually, but they will be available without any additional cost automatically. ​
Why can't we have cross-saves?
  • The architecture of Cities: Skylines Remastered is different from its predecessor, to be able to accommodate Higher graphic quality, increased buildable tiles and overall better performance. Because of the technical limitations of old-gen consoles, we could not apply the same changes to that version, meaning it's two different code bases for the games - hence cross saves are not possible. ​
Can I upgrade my current Cities to the Remastered version?
  • See the answer above regarding save games and cross saves. ​
I can't access Remastered in Japan!
  • The release of Remastered on PS5 in the Japanese store is slightly delayed, it will be available soon! ​

Will the original game now be considered "finished" with no new fixes/or new dlc available post financial districts?

I don’t think so. I think they’ll still continue with dlc. We haven’t gotten African miniature CCP I think they’ll also continue with fixes also. It’s been a success so I would say they still got more dlcs to be released until cities skylines 2 maybe don’t know.

Will there be a Remastered bundle? A bundle with all the content that works in the Remastered version? I switched platforms for Gen9 so I will need to buy everything again. I would love this to be a a one click and get all experience instead of figuring out what content I should avoid at the moment.

There is a bundle that contains most of the content. And the rest of DLCs is also usually bundled into smaller packs. So I doubt there will be one button for everything. But you should be able to purchase the latest bundle (including season pass 1 +2) and then few other bundles.

what time will this be released on the 15th on PS5? Will I need to go to the store to download it or will there be a selectable option if I highlight the game?

On a separate note why are the DLC, CCP’s and expansion after Airports not available at launch?

I believe it could be 12pm (midday) in your local time, though nobody really knows. As for why some DLCs won't be available at launch, it's because they are still working on remastering them.
 
That's a little different. There will be a new version, but we can enjoy it to the fullest. We've gotten used to the amount of content we've bought for the base game so far. Do you really have to wait until fall for all the DLC??? But this...

If you go to the first page of FAQ they said all DLC till Airports are available for remastered version. In the fall time they’ll released plazas and promenades CCPs like skyscrapers map 2 and whatever else for CCP and financial district for remastered so you’ll still get previous DLCs including airports.

Also before CCPs are also available for remastered. But not skyscrapers and beyond.

First of all, Airports did not release in 2023. Second, it says *RELEASED FALL 2023* How can anything be released in the fall of a year that has just started? It's quite clear they meant the fall of 2022, when CCP's like the new map pack, Heart of Korea and Skyscrapers dropped. They have not mentioned a release date, but I seriously doubt this will take them a whopping *6 to 8 months* to port over. Especially not when the "Africa in Miniature" drops in the very near future.
