Will cross saves be available in the future? Is this something currently being worked on?
Also, will I lose my saved games if I install the remastered version?

If you mean from console to another console then no as they are different systems, different provider. Same counts from console to PC/Mac.Will cross saves be available in the future? Is this something currently being worked on?
Sorry for being unclear - I mean to ask whether saves from the original Xbox edition can be loaded into the remastered Xbox edition. If not, will this capability be something to expect in the future?
Also, if I download the remastered edition, will I still have access to my saved games from the original version?
Is cross saves between the versions possible?
No, unfortunately not. The saves will only be available on the version you used when saving your City.
I bought it for £14 the other day using a digital code and now have remastered, typical that I can now get it for £7.99, I should have waited, then again I wouldn't have bothered at all had I known CS2 was going to be announced. They should have just made remastered free for everyone seen as they knew CS2 was coming not long after. How long will you be able to get the remastered if you buy the original? I'm on Xbox One now with a disk version. The original is on sale now for $10 in the Microsoft store. So if I buy that today, then in the future get either a Series X or S then I will automatically have the remastered. I been waiting to upgrade until all the remastered dlc's are out since I own all dlc's and ccps.

Some users have reported a possible workaround of turning off autosaves and then saving manually. As for a full fix on the issue I'd say we may have to wait a little bit.Dear Paradox team, you are ruining your own game. When will the problem with saving finally be solved? Map sizes larger than 16MB cannot be saved! So your game makes no sense.
Thank you for your comment. It is clear to me that such a repair cannot be accomplished in the shortest possible time. Nevertheless the problem must be pointed out. They argue that the fix costs money. The game itself also cost money. I'm a big fan of the game. However, this game makes no sense if I can't save my progress. The tips of some users do not work that way! A maximum size of 16.3 mb per Map seems to have crept in. I still hope that this will be fixed quickly, otherwise you can't continue playing the game. That would be a shame. Some users have reported a possible workaround of turning off autosaves and then saving manually. As for a full fix on the issue I'd say we may have to wait a little bit.
They're most definitely looking into the issue and working towards a fix. I believe they are likely waiting to have the remaining DLC remastered first. The process of pushing out a fix isn't as simple as you think.
The update has to be looked at and approved by both Microsoft and Sony to ensure it doesn't cause issues for their consoles. This process can take weeks and costs money.
The devs would also be working on porting the coming DLC/s for CS:1 and the whole new Cities: Skylines 2 game. They have a lot on their plate it seems so please be patient.
That was answered upthread:Why do physical copies not get the upgrade; they’re still valid copies of the game?
That was explained here:It's not acceptable that disc owners didn't get the upgrade, other games can handle hat too, whats the reason?
There has never been any mention of a deadline, and they have already said that existing post-airports DLC that is not yet released for Remastered (e.g. Plazas and Promenades) will be free for those who already own it on the previous-gen edition (see the FAQ).Is there a deadline for claiming the Remastered Game or any of the Remastered DLCs for free? Or is this a permanent thing?
For example, if I don't buy any of the March 22nd CCPs right way, can I still buy those standard version DLCs sometime in the future when their remastered equivalent is released & still be able to claim the remastered equivalent for free?
And that's all it took, a quick reply and estimate what people can expect as we were all super excited with the remaster....Official update on the missing DLCs for remastered:
