Any news on when the console versions will be getting their first patch/update and whether mods will be introduced in the future?

Updates for console "coming soon"
Unfortunately the above term now covers a period of 2 months so just how "soon" soon is is obviously open to interpretation. The devs seem to think that at +60 days "soon" is still an appropriate/ accurate/ acceptable term whereas the people who paid for game which doesn't work in many important ways seem to think they're now sort of just taking the p**s.
Give it a week or so and they'll release another video detailing the hotfixes for the latest update on PC and will, again, assure us that the console updates are "due really, really, soon guys"

Hmmm, the easiest way to explain Paradox's definition of "soon" is as follow; Remember when your parents said "maybe" but you always knew what that meant? Yeah....that's it.
Hi all, I was wondering ... I seem to remember reading on this here forrum, that games started and saved before this update would have the game breaking bug that wouldn't let one reassign colonists work roles ?
If yes I take it I will have to start a 'New' game ...!?
ps. this is not a problem as I only sunk a afternoon into my first colony and all the time I treated it as a kinda tutorial.

Will console patch be identical to PC patch? (curiosity), and will it be launched tomorrow, June 12th?

Good question. If I have read it correctly, the PC version was released earlier. The patch for the consoles would be released on 12th june indeed.
As for now I'm at work, so I can't confirm this.
Maybe anyone can?
