Game Version
1.5.13

What OS are you playing on?
Windows

Do you have mods enabled?
No

Have you tried verifying your game files?
Yes

How much "pain" is this causing you?
10

Please explain the issue you experienced in the most condensed way possible
The game will consistently CTD after 5-10 minutes of gameplay with no warning or common event occurring.

Please explain how to reproduce the issue
As there is no common date or action that causes the crashes, I'm not sure how to reproduce this issue.

Is there anything else you think could help us identify/replicate the issue?
I've done a fresh reinstall, reduced the framerate to 60, and never play above Speed 3, yet the problem remains. I've read through the forums and seen that there was an issue with 14th generation Intel CPUs, but it has since been fixed. This same problems happens when trying to play CK3, rendering both unplayable.

I have attached a save game
Yes

Depending on what bios you have (ie who your MB maker is), you very likely have the CPU/bios/AVX2 issue discussed here:

Hopefully those steps will help you as they have others. Good luck!

Thanks for your response. I'm not very literate with computers, but according to dxdiag my bios are 8.01.AS03 and my motherboard is Z790 ATX. Does this fall under the ones you listed?

From what I've seen it has been mostly ASUS and MSI MBs/bioses affected. But that doesn't mean it can't affect others!

I suggest you go ahead and make those changes - can't hurt, might help!

If you need more specific help on how to do it, please post in that thread.

I am a little bit hesitant to start making changes in my bios for the CPU. Still, I've found some temporary solutions that make the game playable for at least an hour at a time before crashing that I can post here in the hopes that it can help anyone having a similar problem but with different bios. If you turn off Vsync, limit the game to 60 fps, don't play above speed 3, and run it in windowed mode, it seems to alleviate the problem. Thanks for your help!
