Hello all.

I just downloaded and installed the EIC collection, with developer's cut, pirate bay, etc yesterday from Amazon. I went through the tutorials and learned a bit about the game, and when I was ready to play, fired up a new Grand Campaign with vanilla settings.

Every so often (as in every couple of minutes, to even several times a minute) the screen goes black and shows my windows background, and then the game pops up again, like my graphics are resetting or something. This happens a couple times until the game finally crashes completely, and I get an error message telling me that my driver stopped working.

My specs:
Windows 7 64
Intel i7 950 CPU
6GB RAM
GeForce GTS 250
DirectX 11
Dual monitor setup

I have updated my driver, rebooted several times, played with the graphics options, uninstalled then reinstalled the game, all to no avail. There doesn't seem to be any one thing that triggers the problem. I can just be sitting there in the strategic screen watching my ship move, and it happens. Or be in a port buying and selling goods, and it happens. I have yet to make it to a tactical screen, so I don't know what happens there (though I had no problems in the tutorial).

I had a very similar problem with HOI3 (in fact, pretty much identical) and the only way I was able to solve it was running HOI3 in windowed mode. I tried this with EIC, changing the 0 to a 1 for Windowed in the options.txt file, but this doesn't run it in windowed mode at all.

This game looks like a lot of fun (not to mention I did pay for it) so I would appreciate any advice as to a fix.
