Happened to me multiple times already. My consul will be one faction and after I save/reload he's a completely different faction. I've seen a few other characters that weren't consul switch after reload as well, so maybe it's not tied to that particular position.

That is how conviction works: a given character features a certain affiliation with a party, and given certain factors (titles, wealth, task, state of war, etc.) He or She will switch faction. A consul is not immune to that.

The issue may be with the "save" "reload" cycle: can You provide an instance where that happens.

Well it's happened a few times and usually right around when a new consul is elected. For instance, consul elected was civic faction, I then saved/reload because I didn't like how an Omen turned out and now the consul is religious faction. I've had Military consuls turn to civic and vice versa. I'm positive the switching did not take place before the reload.

I only notice this because I'm a save/reload whore after failed Omens.

I can confirm this happening also. Consul was elected as a member of the mercantile party then after a reload, is now a member of the populist party.

This isn't limited to Consuls however. My dux of Magna Gracia was initially a member of the civic party and now is also showing as a populist.

Is this WAD?

On reloads the five affiliation values are reread. While this process is usually continuous during the game - if You are reporting many instances, there may be an issue with the frequency of the check.

There may also be a case when a character features the same value for two parties - the reload then changes affiliation.

I will flag the issue, thanks.
