Every game I have played, at about 1640, there is a piano roll. Once it starts, it is never stops. I have to turn my volume off, because it drives me nuts. Any ideas as to what is causing this, and what can I do to get it to stop?

Its a known bug that happens when Japan closes its doors to the rest of the world.
The cause has been found and it will be fixed in Patch 1.09 which is being tested.
One enterprising fellow said that when it occured he hit F12 and typed shogun and then hit enter and the game continues OK. I do not know if this will work (or what the cheat shogun does) but it might be worth a try.
Do not tell me what the cheat does - I do not want to know.
