Let's say a player finishes CK with most of Europe inherited/controlled. Does it mean that after conversion to EU2 it's an instant superpower? So then it seems like you'd have WC in ~50years. What's the point then?

As I've understood it, the game is made so that controlling most of Europe is more or less impossible.:)

Hopefully it will be quite hard to arrange a real empire, for any long period anyway, perhaps a genertation it won't be so bad, but longer..otherwise I will be disapointed...because I want it to be hard to do...

You could also end up like the French in EU2, not really in control of all of your country. You would also have to do without the nice inheritance events that France gets.

But at worst you'd start out with a whole bunch of vassals - all of which you could diplo-annex by 1450....

For a nice amount of BB.

I think this conversion stuff is a waste of development time, that's better needed eslewhere..
Most people seem to agree though that it's one feature that will definitely help sell the game. In other words, if this feature is included with CK, it will get a lot of visibility.

That might be right, but I'm more of the opinion of ashberry, I'd rather they spend the development time elsewhere. Personally, I doubt I'd ever use such a conversion feature.

Its included, and its not a very time-consuming part to develop.

Hooray! I love getting these responses from people who seem to know things. And I think it's a great addition. I might use it once or twice, and it may not be too historically accurate, but sometimes I just want to play a game, and it's pretty awesome to be a superpower and watch people dance for your favor (or nip at your toes). Remember, the population of history nerds (I mean no offense -- I include myself in that group) is awfully small, so the developers may have to play some marketing games to get all the attention they can.

I was leaving this thread as mere speculation, I click in the back button, and I see the tip of Johan's shield :) Forward! Forward!

I also think that it is a good selling point :). How long will and MP take to play on GC in CK, convert to EU2, play one GC in EU2 :)
Hopefully, some day we will get the EU2 to Vicky conversion too.

EU2 --> Vic is the one I'm slobbering over.

I will never use this feature me thinks...but this game has so much I am slobbering over...this and Total War: Rome at once would be nice...God...are you there?

Hello everyone! (First post in CK forum)
If you have conquered back most of French territories as France and your empire strech from Atlantic to Mediterranean.
So... If you convert this save game to EU2 file, has France any challenges left for EU2? And what if you conquer Israel, is there just big gap in the middle of Mameluk Empire (in EU2)?

Thanks in advance!

Sorry, my English is not very professional... :(
