How does the convert system work? Is it similiar to EU? I mean with reconqueria, and Crusade against Pagans. I forgot, when did Russia convert? Also, Hungary, was it 1020's, right? Well, the people not had convert right away but withing a generation. Anyway, didn't Hungary have a special crown? I must be going senile and I am only 20 years old! Still, I would think that convert system be cheaper than EU.

you can only play catholics... i think

I suppose that it's a safe guess to say that if your favorite country isn't yet christian - and therefore isn't playable - at the start of the game, you will be able to play it on a scenario begining later.

If both rus and byzantines have been mentioned, and snowball is russian.. i would safely assume orthodox are counted in :D

Besides, what use would my "warcry" otherwise have, **For Jesus and Valhalla**

as for "rebel churches" who knows?

Russia converted 900, well in time.

Zhai, wait till ur 24.. senile doesn`t begin to describe :p , i have more than once forgotten food for days to rot in the microway... not to mention clothwasher

Actually only the royal family was Manichean amongst the Uighurs. The subjects were pretty mixed, moslems, nestorians and magians...

Actually when I first saw this map I was skeptical as well, but in fact Nestorians converted 200,000 people to the Christian faith.

Here's what I found:

Source: http://www.hostkingdom.net/mongols.html

NAIMANS: A Mongol people dwelling in central Asia, closely related to the Qara Khitai, and subsurvient to them until 1177. Like the Khitai, these were also Nestorian Christians.

Source: http://www.hostkingdom.net/mongols.html

KERAITS: A Mongol people living in central Asia, Nestorian Christians from 1008. Granted the title of Wang (King) by the Chinese Emperor in 1183.

Source: http://www.newadvent.org/cathen/10755a.htm

NESTORIANISM: Nestorianism is basically another "schism", but it is considered a heresey. The majority of Nestornians were in Persia, China, Mongolia, and scattered throughout the Middle-East. Also today the ancient Indian Christians or Malabar Christians, are considered part of the Nestorian faith.

Horror! I can not imagine of being more senile. I have 4 years more, I am doomed!:( :D

I think that the convert should be cheaper in CK than EU becuz it is the time of converting.

Maybe cost should be same, but guaranteed.. provided you have some (loyal) troops to quell protesters.

Besides we know little of how theese things are handled.. another suggestion would be to leave conversion solely to the clergy, and given enough time (20yrs?) the priest could rapport that all pagans are now good christians :)

But then there is the holy land.. not an easy subject.. maybe conversion would be possible there too.. cant wait to convert mecca :D

*In 7th of mars 1277 the people of Mecca has accepted The One True God (according to the constantinoples dogma :) )*

Yeah! I would love to convert Mecca, and Medina into Christian. Catholic prefered but I will take Orthodoxy.

Or you can raid Mecca as Raynald of Chatillon tried to do and force convert the infidels to Catholicism.:)

There was a wide-spread belief in the Christian world that Mohammed was a disgruntled Christian bishop that started a new religion.

I read that one reason why he wasn't recognised as a prophet by the Christians of his country was his lacking Bible knowledge. :p So that one can be ruled out I think...
