I've noticed that it is impossible for a 'High Chief' to pledge to a King/Emperor. Would I be right in assuming that if a 'Chief' pledges to a Christian then an event will eventually come to change the pagan's religion?

Anyway, I know that it must be possible for a pagan to convert if their capital is in Christian territory. How does this work? Will the event (if one exists) still fire if it is the player playing as the pagan?

vassals get events that will change their religion to that of the top-tiered liege ... so pagan counts to orthodox dukes who are under a catholic king, will eventually become catholic.

Same happens for players if they are vassals. You will get an event wher you can change to the liege's religion
