Converting to EUII

I bought EUII from Amazon.com, in some kind of "Special Addition" release or what-not. Long story short, I haven't been able to update my EUII, which is stuck in v1.04. Is there a way to:
A) Update my EUII to v1.08 so my CK conversions will work or;
B) Change the the conversion list to only countries that exist in v1.04; and if so will some one give me a hand at it.

I think you should try to look for help in EU2 Tech Support and get your EU2 into 1.08.

Check and see if they sent you the English version, not the US one. That's what happened to me.

I was unfortunate, stupid, enough to have bought the Startegy First EUII bundled with Crown of the North. This version of EUII can not use mods or Paradox patches. If you have this version you will have to get a patch from Strategy First. Personally I wouldn't bother at it doesn't remove bugs and constant crashes. My advice would be to get the straight EUII ganes from Paradox, which is what I plan to do as soon as I can afford it. I'll never buy another Strategy First game, and if I hadn't already been a big Paradox fan, I would never have bought another one. But I know Paradox patches it's games, so I'll buy more.
