Playing around with the 1.08b5 and CORE 0.6014a. Autosaves set for 10 months stop autosaving in 1940. Last good manual save was in Okt 1940. Now almost a year later in june '41 saving the game caused a CTD. It could be bad luck but since the behaviour of the autosaves is suspicious i might as well mention it here.

Did you use the latest exe hotfix for 1.08b5? CTDs while saving past March 1941 was a problem for me, too, but it´s solved using that hotfix.

Hi, back from my weekend.

If I quickskip through this, there seem to be no serious issues with 0.60.14b. Denniss has already deposited a nice pack in my lap regarding the small things that cropped up here.

No serious issues, this is practically a full release not a beta.

Few things I've noticed:

When US Chief of Staff Malin Craig retires in 39' he isn't being replaced.

Would it be possible to get AI Sov to prepare for the Winter War a bit, as it is now I usually see Finland go on the offensive against unready Russia and then get pushed back. Acceptable I guess, but for a Finland player it would be more interesting to fight a defensive war from the get go.

Also Jap AI could do with more focus on the coast, and leave CHC alone. In the first few test games I've run the Communists never make it, and Jap likes to go off on a jaunt all the way to Sinkiang.

Who would you replace him with? Easy to change....

Playing as Germany and despite being part of an alliance with Japan (and feeding them tech blueprints), Japan still seems to be struggling against China.
Was shocked to see stacks of up to 20 units against Japan's stacks of 4 or 5 units.. China has units on every province that I can see.
Has something changed?

We also have people complaining that Japan finishes China too easily.

There seems to be quite a statistical range of results for the Sino-Japanese war, which I consider desirable. If Japan is unlucky in the initial months of the war (let´s say one of their landings is defeated and the units destroyed) you can see a situation like you describe.

Marshall would be the historical pick. Currently he's being replaced by Hans Amlie and Oliver Wood of all people!

Yes. Done a little AI tweaking before myself, and China vs. Japan was the trickiest theatre IMO, and that was with the vanilla screwed up industry/resources and weak militia. I'd only ask that Jap ignore CHC more. Other than that very good, often see the historical bog down and sometimes the clean sweep.

Is the oil/rares conversion system WAD? Currently it seems that with 1 unit of energy it is possible to create 4 units of oil, and with that 4 units of rares. In other words, with 1 unit of energy you get 16 rares, which is an extremely high amount.

Ouch - that's a bug. Techs should use values like 0.40 instead of 4 for oil_to_rare_materials and energy_to_oil

Reverted back to 1.07 and 0.60.14b. (me as Italy)

The Czechs chose to fight. In this alternate story, after the czechs are defeated by Germany, there is no plan for Poland, Denmark and Norway. The Benelux and France are attacked in '39 and also Yugoslavia some time later but that is it.

Countries in the axis are the usual suspects(including me), except Romania. Therefore and because of that, perhaps, Poland, Romania and the Baltic states remain a buffer between the Germans and the Soviets.

Also the buildup of Germany remains low now in '41. Is this all intentional and WAD or there are no scenario's when things dont go historically. I dont see why Poland can't be partitioned (as well as Denmark and Norway) after this alternative reality.
