Benelux region has been misnamed Belarus.
Sorry, for me this is definitely not the case. Can you check for any additional installations you might have?

First post updated with new 0.62 gfx pack - mainly Hagar´s travel guide additions.

I played the 0.62.5, and have lot a fun, great work!!! Thanks a lot! But one thing was suspicous. My Planes and Subs (Axis Player) sunk so many Russian Transports and Escorts in the (blocked) Baltic Sea, when I loaded as Soviet Player, I registered that the Soviet Union has -2767 Transports and about minus 721 Escorts, that seems weird, isn't it? Is it a bug? In reality at this time the Soviet Trademarine was small, but not minus, I guess

Hi,

The Internal Opposition was WAD in 0.60 AFAIK. Someone "cleaned up" the event structure after that and broke it by trying to consolidate the events into a single one. Event 840050 (Internal Opposition) needs to be slept by 840035 (The Last Trial). Otherwise it keeps firing till the FM.

I'd also note that whoever did this did not annotate the event header with the change. Please don't forget to do this, as it makes it a lot easier to work with the file.

It was actually me the "cleaned up" the events but I didn't break anything. Internal Opposition 7 did not pop up in 0.60 due to a flag name mismatch (purges_last vs purge_last set in event), otherwise it would have had exactly the same behaviour as in the current version.
With a 30% chance the even should not pup up that often unless you interrupted the chain somewhere or there's another flag or local_flag name mismatch

Well, I had it once in 1938 after The Last Trials and once in early 1939 after The Great Purges End. Is this Internal Opposition event meant to pop up until full mobilization?

Hi,

Ah no. It may not have been firing at all. But it definitely was not firing improperly. Which is a much bigger issue IMO. My old file set clearly shows that IO7 was slept by The Great Purges - Last Trial:

command = { type = sleepevent which = 840056 } # Internal Opposition Surfaces 7

To clearly answer Blecky's question, no it is not. Last Trial needs to sleep the IO Event, as that is the design. Previously there were a group of IO events that each had a "simple" trigger. Now there is one event with a more complicated trigger. The trigger could be fixed to prevent firing after Last Trial. But there is no need to even check the event after Last Trial is accepted.

Dec,

Can you send me a fixed fileset for integration?

Thanks

hello,
i checked this and would like to mention some things.

you need to understand how the ai assigns leaders, especially if you use locked GARs. it will always prefer leaders with the LW trait for the Panama garrison, as an example (or the combination OG/LW). this means, since you use McArthur already in 1936 (he was in PHI at this time, like Wainwright), he will command such a locked GAR from the beginning of the game until the end and will never show up in the pacific area (since he has the LW trait) - or somewhere else.
another person i spotted was J.L. Collins, who has also good stats and will command this locked GAR until end of game.

commando trait (256, etc): AoD ai ignores those leaders completely, except for MTN, MAR, PAR divs. that means BRA (as an example), which has already leader shortages (at least in vanilla or when at war), but usually never builds those units will have plenty of divisions without GOCs, while still having leaders (with commando trait) in the pool. simple deltion of commando traits does the trick.

Smuts in SAF is affected as well.
i do not have any for historical leader for the Panama canal force, but i use Schley in my games http://generals.dk/general/Schley/Julian_Larcombe/USA.html.

i already mentioned the SOVs in the polish leaders file some time ago

Rokossovsky, etc (i have not seen the events, but in general keep all polish leaders marked with (Com) or (U) - Ukrainian? - dormant)

the leader marked with (Com) are soviets like Nikolai Abramov (or Abramow, if you like), CO polish navy post 1945, a soviet admiral http://ru.wikipedia.org/wiki/Абрамов,_Николай_Осипович
or Konstantin Rokossovsii http://generals.dk/general/Rokossovskii/Konstantin_Konstantinovich/Soviet_Union.html
Fiodor Polynin http://generals.dk/general/Polynin/Fedor_Petrovich/Soviet_Union.html
or Stanislav Poplavskii http://generals.dk/general/Poplavskii/Stanislav_Giliarovich/Soviet_Union.html

they can be transferred after the soviets conquered Poland, but they do not belog in a polish leader line up in 1936

EDIT: sorry if this sounds silly, i wouldnt post if i wouldnt assume interest :)

Regarding balance:
In some games Japan still seems to struggle (only a few bits of isolated coastal province by mid'40 and in other does reasonably well (all coastline plus at least adjacent provinces) so overall seems okay.

Good to know regarding JAP, we spent a lot of work there and also do not want to make it too easy for a human JAP player.

The general intent was to make Japan more successfull initially but make CHI more resilient in the long run.

I have complained about the Internal Opposition event a while ago, i dont know the technical details about the eventchain, interruptions of the chain etc. but it should not keep firing once the purges are over, which it seems to do if you stop them earlier than historical.

Another thing I recently discovered is about amphibious landings. I posted it on that thread: http://forum.paradoxplaza.com/forum/showthread.php?759942-Bug
Pang, from the main AOD forum suggeted there was a fault that might have something to do with the research tree

Hi,

Am looking into the max_amphib_mod issue. Pang is probably right that it is related to the files here. I suspect it relates to the order in which the files initially load.
