core 2 vs. 01 for HOI 2

Dear Friends: I have downloaded core for HOI 2 vs. 01 and It downloads fine but then when the landing craft screen appears, it CTDs! I have started over twice. I have a fast computer with lots of RAM and a large, empty hard drive. I have a state of the art vid card and a new fan system. My other programs such as HOI 2 vs. 1.03 are working fine but core 2 will not properly load. Steel Help me please. L3 :wacko:

Landing craft? You mean that japaneese in left up corner?

Did you try install CORE second time or maybe make a separate folder of HoI2 for CORE?

Did you point the installer to your HoI2 folder and changed the shortcut to reflect this (if it isn't the standard, suggested path)? Check if you have a folder in your HoI2 folder called mod-CORE2.

Doomtrader: He probably means the one in the middle, the centerpiece of the loading screen.

I don't think steel ,the once HOI god, is still around i hvae not seen a post from him in quite so time.(by the way,does anybody know what happn :rofl: :rofl: :rofl: ed to our former leader)

He disappeared around the time I get drafted up as a Developer (OMG! IT'S MY FAULT!) and we only heard from him a handful of times around then (which was around March/April last year), and after the old forum went down pretty much nothing.
