Im planning to combine CORE with DAIM. Does anyone have experience with the compatibility for these two MODs? Is it possible at all to combine them?

Combining the two won't be possible I'm afraid, unless you are an experienced modder yourself and pull in a lot of effort to straighten out the vast differences in techs and models. CORE simply differs too much from Vanilla (which in itself is a good thing 
). The AI is getting an overhaul as we speak though, so the coming versions of CORE will be a major challenge compared to 0.25.
