This is for the CORE crew. I've modded CORE a fair bit and found I get a very fun game out of it and very challenging for any country big or small. With these settings the AI can be beaten only with a very careful strategy and good planning and probably have to play the same nation up to 3 times to figure out how to win.

I've made major changes to all the build priorities, a few minor tech changes (already mentioned on other threads) and the difficulty file. I found the original builds are infantry-heavy with no capital ships built at all and one-dimensional militia builds for the minor nations so almost all my minors got big build changes so they can fight too. I changed the big 5 a lot so they build a more balanced mix of stuff. I got Germany building Stukas now and a moderately strong navy with a realistic infantry to tank ratio.

The way I have it set, the AI Germany beats AI Russia (and maybe human Russia too) and japan vs China war lasts forever it seems with larger battles and more units involved. A human Germany player needs to play very carefully to have any chance of surviving and even the USA as human has a very hard time trying to fight the axis. We certainly don't have any problems with anyone using CORE as a foundation for a mod of their own, as long as we get a bit of a discussion about it first. We've always seen CORE as a replacement for vanilla, not an end-mod. Can you e-mail or PM me more details about the changes you've made and what your plans are?
