I'd love for even the bugged version as well! :)

I wonder how awesome CORE will be? I don't have it installed for HOI1 anymore, but recall it being great.

This mod has taken a long time, so an insane amount of work must have gone into this. Thanks to all the CORE people, though a bugged release would be better than nothing right now! cheers

ACHTUNG!: Core crew. I know you're tired of people bitching but I have to say, it was a pretty stupid idea to release this game on the same day as Jack Bauer's action packed return to television. HOI and 24 are the world's two most addictive forms of non-sexual, non-narcotic entertainment, you can't expect us to be torn between them like this!

:mad: SLYGUY3129, This is more a reply to the post where you claim a lack of understanding as to why you feel YOU were being insulted. I quote your previous post in this thread for context;

Well the least that could have been done is a fore warning instead of just acting as if everything was hunkydory, you could have said Houston we have a problem, looks like it may be delayed a couple of days.

Perhaps just informing us that there was a bug without out saying it was postponed would have given john q public the idea that if they fix it they release but if they don't release it we know why.

But I guess thats just my opinion, humble or not.

Perhaps you were "misunderstood", but I also took offense to your intimation of what you felt was "the least that could of been done". This implies that an explanation is some how owed to those whom are waiting for a release. Your post seems to paint the CORE team as being thoughtless or insensitive with regards to the waiting throngs.

This is just WRONG, intended or not!

The CORE team long ago past the point of doing "the least they could do" and have gone above and beyond the call of duty. Spending hours, days, even WEEKS planning, scripting, testing, evaluating the results and repeating the process, and doing so on thier own dime. All in the name of bringing a bunch of selfish people a MOD that will (hopefully) take a game that is allready playable to the next level.

I AGREE!!!

We should all STOP posting!!

Whose with me?

:p

Perhaps I should have been more clear.....

<sigh>

There was a time, a day, when I used to MOD games for others to enjoy. This thread serves as an excellent reminder of why I no longer do so.....

EDIT: and with that said there is now a new update thread.

I was afraid of this.

We get criticised for not having a release date. We get criticised for having a release date.

We get criticised for delaying the game. We get criticised for releasing it buggy.

I guess it is a fact of modding.

Many of us were pretty sure we were going to make the 15th (or so) release date. It just happened that the progression on finding this bug took longer than planned. Sorry, but, that's just the fact of the situation.

Expect it soon, I can't, rather WON'T say when. The best you get is soon.

Just remember: most of us - virtually all of us - are grateful and appreciative. And, if we submit bug reports after release, that means that, not only will we have played CORE, but we care enough to do something for it.

remember all the posts here are a testimont to ur hard work regardless whether critical or ot cos we r all waiting for u to release, we ve all got better things to do than wait but want to play core so much, so let that be an end to arguements as to whether we r being critical also please give us some screenies or something :)

You forgot that even if you release a bug-free version on time, people will complain about the lack of content...

some people do nothing but search for faults, pay no attention to them.

Apparently I didn't make my post clear, I apologize, no harm was intended, just a bad choice of words.

Im a bit confused right now. Whats exactly the reason for delaying the release? Is it the bug or what? cause in the "core update (15th january)"-thread it is said that there was no time for including the mobilisation events, which is the reason for delaying it, and that it will be online around tuesday or wednesday? :confused:

From what we were told there was a save bug issue after 42 that was discovered on the 10th where they directed most of thier resources towards and didn't not have the time to finish the events at hand. Currently bieng worked on from what we understand, release date NOT known so your guess is as good as mine :confused:

EDIT: didn't not, gotta love the redundency :rofl:

C'mon now stop posting.

...ooooOOOOOI really shouldn't respond to this post since its dead. But the temptation is so much! I must resist!" OOOOOOOOOoooooooo.......
