It is just the image that is wrong. (air-cavalry)

I think the game is just going with the default Cavalry V image, and in vanillla that is air-cavalry.

Egotistical as I am, I read De Savage's question as if changes had been made to air units, wherever I got that from.

The following unit files have been changed (but I don't know specifically what those changes entail):
garrison.txt
motorized.txt
battleship.txt
battlecruiser.txt
carrier.txt
heavy_cruiser.txt
light_cruiser.txt
destroyer.txt
