Hey guys, I'm trying to install this mod but so far with no luck. Even Blacksquare's instruction isn't clear enough for me... (yeah I know, I'm stupid:rofl:)
Could someone post a very detailed step by step instruction? With links to download each of needed components. Very pretty please!

I have clean installation of HoI2 DDArma 1.2 VBLV

EDIT: Finally I managed to install it correctly! Trento and Bolzano are Austrian claims! It occurs that Blacksquare's instructions are very good but without proper links. Thank You. I have also a question about my CORE version. I'm using v.3.2 on Arma 1.2. Is this proper core version to use with arma 1.2?

Oh, and one more thing. What's the diference between core scenario and core clasic scenario?

Update !

You can read on the latest version of the mod here. Needless to say, it is believed to work with the CORE .4 now.

Sorry I'm really stupid but do you still need to correct the spy costs manually with the CORE 2 .4 version? because CORE 2 .4 itself works with 1.3b2 normally so I don't know...

Anyway your mod rox you do an amazing job, can't wait to try it.

No, it doesn't. But I may have overlooked it, so please report any bugs asap !

Hi !

Great work so far.

Still there are some problems - namely IC is different than in the original which affect the general situation.

The Netherlands, Austria, Italy have one tech slot less because their IC is lower. That is exceptionally important for Italy because its techteams are generally weak.
Germany have lower IC so they will be less dangerous and more likely to die earlier.

Some areas are missing fortifications they have in CORE - e.g. Sarny, Katowice in Poland, a part of Eastern Prussia etc.

Poland's IC is also lower which is important because this country is set to require more to rise its divisions to full number in time. Poland's MP growth is also lower than before which also has its effects. Also its energy production is too low - it cannot export energy as in the 0.40...

I am sure there are other issues as well e.g. Bulgaria having larger IC than Greece. Of course there are also good things such as with Romania having more IC so it doesn't lose its second techslot untill the 2nd Vienna Award - so for a bit longer than in the mod.

I'm sure there are other problems which can be found during the testing, but these were the easiest to spot.

If I could suggest where the missing IC in Poland can be placed...

1 point each in Poznań, Kalisz, Siedlce, Katowice and Grodno, but the priority should be Germany, Austria (so for longer run also Germany), Italy and the Netherlands.

That could be easily modified with the single file released as a hotfix.

I should have mentioned it earlier that I haven't focused that much on the changes that have been applied to the IC allocation in the new CORE (.4). Consequently, I have not modified the provinces.inc file so far.

1. Could you post the IC of each country in the new CORE (.4), please ?
2. Do you know which provinces have received the additional IC points (at least in the case of the country you fancy playing) ?
3. How does the resource balance look like in the latest version of the mod ? Do some countries lack some important resources they had before (e.g. in CORE .323)/have enough rubber, oil, etc., but were short of them previously ?
Thanks for your contribution !

I'm afraid the only way in the end will be to manually rewrite IC and reources in many provinces and later re-distrubute those in the new provinces...

Simply the resource-IC balance was one of key features in betatesting of the CORE mod and it took a while to reach the current, really good situation...

Of course it will be hard, boring and time consuming, but easier and ultimately faster to implement. :(

Well what needs to be done is basically to check every province on the map, to compare the CORE .4 layout with the current CORE-E3 layout right? Well I could do this. I only have limited free time but I could do at least 100 provinces every day I think. That means that in less than a month the whole map would be done. What do you think pplmm? Also, should I compare between "pure" versions of CORE .3 and CORE .4 or between your current version and the genuine CORE .4?

There are some bugs with rivers: there is a river between Viipuri and Terijoki (Finland) while on map it isn't showed and also there is a river on map between Krasnogvardejsk and Tihvin (near Leningrad) while there isn't it in game.

Don't bother, I have just figured out that merely a meaningless number of 1793 provinces have their IC/resource values changed.

There are connections to southern gulf of Bothnia from several provinces of the Black sea.
Plausibly that's only a name of another sea basin that hasn't been changed. I will check it though.

I have thought it would be a nice trick to prevent SOV from taking Viipuri too soon. If you don't like it though, please comment on the idea.

I think it's OK, but bug with river near Tihvin should be fixed.

Sire, breaking news has just reached us that the first patch has been released ! Now we can enjoy our beloved game even more as the province.csv file has been finally altered (more accurate resource allocation around the world).
Option_A: Hip, hip, hurray ! ;)
