Welcome to what i hope will be a highly entertaining, if slightly odd, Hands Off AAR where i will explain what happens and then comment on these events from Costa Ricas point of view. Maybe.
December 31st 1935.

With those immortal words the worlds first ever Satellite was blasted into space providing a world wide network of surveilance allowing the most intimate snooping possible on a grand division scale. (P.S Right out of the manual)
From Cartoga Space Center, Costa Rica, this marvel of engineering would change the way Costa Rica viewed the world. Maybe. To the Government of Costa Rica, all called Black Shadow, in an obvious attempt to confuse potential assasins, this meant that instead of working the fields all day along with their slaves, they could sit back and watch the satellite collect the information.
January 1st 1936- January 1st 1937
Black Shadow(BS): Well i must admit, since we got this infernal machine not much has happened, i mean can we not speed it up, sitting around watching these sprites move hurts my eyes. As Prime Minister i think we should jack this machine in.
BS: Your not the Prime Minister, I am!!
BS: Oh sorry, gets confusing you know, all being called the same thing.
BS: I wasnt talking to you, i was talking to him.
BS: Who me? but im the Intelligence Minister, you were talking to the Foreign Minister.
BS: Thats me!!
BS: No it isnt, stop trying to rise above your station Naval Minister Black Shadow.
BS: But im the....
BS*5: NO YOUR NOT!!

January 1st 1937- January 1st 1938
BS: Right to avoid confusion like last time, i will be the only one who will be speaking. If you have anything to say, say it after the newspapers have left, please for the sake of our readers sanity. Anyway once again nothing of much note happened this year, this satellite seems to be a complete waste of time. Wheres the wars, the massive troop movement, just anything, all i keep getting is messages of people influencing each other. I thought you told me japan was looking aggressive, because all they have done is sit on their (censored) asses. They havent even moved their troops.
BS: Uh sir...
BS: SILENCE!!
BS: I wasnt talking to you!
BS: Oh jesus....
January 1st 1938- January 1st 1939
BS: Ahh finally, something happens. Instead of just sitting on their asses Japan actually moved some troops around, but thats it. Communist China invaded Nationalist China and actually beat them quite badly but then they were cut off and a huge 40 Division Army pummeled the Communists into a bloody pulp, but even then it still took them two months to complete the conquest of the undefended provinces. And now to my esteemed colleague.
BS: Ah yes thank you. This was at the start of the year, and it only got better as time went on, Austria demanded Anschluss with Germany and Germany was happy to accept this. Unfortunately though the austrians wanted to absorb germany they themselves were absorbed and Germany had a shiny nice new border with Czechoslovakia. And now to hand it over...
BS: Oh good, my turn. In Africa Italy finally annexed Ethiopia after a 2 year struggle in which the Eithiopians managed to march up the coast and almost take all of italian held east africa. However then a force of italians landed and cut off the Ethiopian advance the force of italians which had been retreating did an about turn and massacred the far superior, in terms of Quantity, Ethiopian army. But other than this the year was quiet. Questions? Yes Black Shadow.
BS: You mentioned that Austria Requested Anschluss with Germany, wasnt it the other way round?
BS: Well youd think that, but Austria had the affront to turn down Anschluss and propose one of their own. Of course the germans then ground them down into a small powder but it was a peaceful massacre.
Stay tuned for more wacky highjinx. Will japan actually move anywhere, Will Germanys Aggression be checked by the Allies, who is next in their path?
