Dying Faith
War, Famine, Terror and Destruction was not synonymous with 1630s Spain, Peace and Love was. The Spanish king Felipe IV had seized all future takeovers of Chinese provinces, the generals where shipped back to Europe. Spanish spies had discovered that leaders from Nations such as France, Sweden, Austria and Ottoman Empire had meet and presumably been discussing how to prevent Spanish/Portuguese dominance of the world, also there seemed to be a state known something like rüsia attending the meeting.
Land on starboard side! The boats where just a few kilometers from the harbor of Andalusia and such a trip it had been, not only where there 2 highly decorated Generals onboard but also a bunch of Chinese men. It seemed the Spanish king had been impressed by the Chinese and their wall building skills that he had demanded Chinese architects to reinforce fortresses in Europe. Juan himself was stationed outside Sicily.
Many years passed and all Great European nations where at peace, it seemed to be the calm before the storm, news came that the countries that had attended that meeting years before had all now officially merged an alliance and it would now only take days until the declaration of war would reach Spain.
Juan was ordered to leave with half the Spanish armada and travel to the eastern Italian coast to block Austrian ships, also be used to ship troops for surprise attacks. It didn’t take long before an assault was made on the province of Dalmatia and the Austrian ships were forced to leave the dock to face parts of the Spanish armada. It was a horrific loss for the Austrians as all their ships were demolished. Word reached that the other ships left at Sicily had destroyed the entire Ottoman navy. So with no other enemy at sea Juan was ordered ship troops to different locations for surprise attack on the Ottoman, so that at least one foe would turn away focus on the invasion of Spain.
After some years white peace was signed as the walls designed by the Chinese had once again kept invaders at bay.
This invasion was later revealed to be a cowardly attempt that 4½ countries with 5 different religions collaborating to invade and demolish the only True Catholic country left in the world. INFIDELS!
