Real new buildings will start to appear soon... a few are already available but things might get faster soon. I suggest you check for simtropolis to learn what's released (the steam workshop is a mess).

Already got yours, but that was exactly what I was referring to! Colosseum, tower of Pisa, Eiffel Tower, Chrysler Building, Chinese Temple, Big Ben, Taj Mahal, Pyramid, Red Square, Greek Panthenon, Trevi fountain, Tower of London, Statue of Liberty, Opera of Sidney, Atomium Brussels...
