Playing 1.03b.
As the Count of Suenik, I conquered the province of Uzens from the heathen. I was at war with Moslems, who were sieging the province of Suenik.
I was, however, able to grant the bishopric of Suenik to a courtier.
Then the weirdness happened.
1) I got the bishopric-creating piety boost.
2) I became the county of Uzens.
3) However, no bishopric of Suenik appeared.
4) I am listed in my profile as being the count of Uzens only. However, there is no shield on Suenik, and, even stranger, the purported bishop of Suenik is listed as "the Count of Suenik"... IN MY COURT! I am unable to make him a steward or marshal or anything, but he's there in that window.
5) I am still able to grant bishopric (to the "count") with the last remaining province of Uzens. However, selecting that option causes an immediate CTD (surprise, surprise).
6) I am still able to use Suenik's army. I *think* (but am not sure) that I'm still getting their income, as well. The province is listed in the rollover as being controlled by the county of Uzens.
I was, frankly, astonished.
