btw would be nice if desicion is made before tuesday tho so if we restart you stil need time to edit ect

So current status:

A, 1 vote
B, 3 votes
Indifferent (both works), 1 vote

So currently democracy would indicate restart. As I am not going to be in any way busy tomorrow, I can do the edited scen tomorrow, but I will need few things from you:

A) Statistics of your count, use Jarkko's system to create them (see my sig for link)
B) Name, dynasty, DNA and birthday (birthyear shall be 1048) for your count
C) A province where you wish to be count in, with following restrictions:
- It may not be only province of any existing ruler
- It may not be default capital of any duchy or kingdom (so no Ile de France or Brugge)
- It has to be catholic prov and part of catholic realm

I shall also give you initial wife to save you from furious wife hunting contest for best initial brides. I shall need stats, name, DNA and birthday for her as well.

If you have anything to ask, please do. A small FAQ will be here:

Q: Where I shall find dynasties?
A: Look into dynasties.txt in DB
Q: How I set DNA?
A: Use for example DNAmaker tool that can be found in Scenarios subforum.
Q: I don't wanna use DNAmaker, what will my DNA be?
A: Either I shall use my evil imagination or you may point any existing character in any normal scenario and say "I wanna look like that guy"
Q: Is there any special effect for picking a dynasty name that is also held by a ruler somewhere?
A: Technically you could let those people inherit you through daughters, but you will be considered that you lose if you let people not related through males inherit
Q: What culture my ruler may be?
A: Any culture that is reasonable in the region you chose, so no georgians in Ireland.
Q: What my ruler's name can be?
A: Anything really, but I will appreciate names appropriate for the culture. See character_names.csv in DB if your imagination fails you.
Q: Why I can't pick county already held by some 1 prov count / duke?
A: Because it's much more of pain for me and might alter the scenario unpredictably.
Q: I have some question not answered here, what do I do?
A: Ask it in the thread or via ICQ from me. ;)

Jarkko, Padua is already held by a bishopric at scenario start, so would you mind if I move you to Mantua, which is a neighbouring province?

Ah right, so not to bisopries then :) If it is all the same, then I'd rather take Ferrara :)

We do have the "Enforced semi-salic" -rule this time, right?

No comments on my diplomatic wife?
Well, I am more worried about the master assasin of York... :p If Byak gets a good Spymaster he'll crown himself king of Scotland or England in no time ;)

OTOH, I am going to make money. Lot's of money. And then some more. Hopefully tech-spreads from Venice are not too slow so I can use the money on something, Padua would have been the perfect place to suck the eastern wonders of Byzantium :D Once I get claims I'll go and try to find myself a nice little Italian duchy. As my liege is the Papal controller, she might even ease the way and drop the prestige-cost for me :p

Anyway, Aldo shouldn't have too much trouble finding brides to the kids of Frederick and Condolezza. Which should put Aldo again in a cool position to try to dagger-inherit a duchy again :D

I have no idea if this is done correct but its gives 4 total and 40 for every char, so I can't see why it should be. Ohh I hope this is RP game, since I choose my traits to fit that too.

Either way I don't know if I can be perm anymore, just got a new job offer today and I might have to change my work schedule.

So you missed the the bolded text with the go-go girls around it :p ;)

Every character has to have 1 educational trait and 2 other traits. Not more, not less (unless you take the 0-level education, insanity or some such that give bonus-traits).

Your character has 1 edcational, so that is correct. But he has six other traits, which is four too many.

Why can you only have two traits, where is the logic in that? I am within the total of 4 points in traits? I don't see what the bad thing is about my char being Proud, sceptical, lustful, honest, merciful and suspicious considering my education

EDIT: right now, it seems I can't play today... so guess it doesn't matter.

Because the intention of the rules is to make initially balanced characters. I don't say your character is heavily out of bounds, but it/he certainly does get more beneficial factors than he possible could from just two traits.

If you want to discuss the character-generating system in general, please do so in the thread for it, so that others interested in the system may comment :) There are after all quite a few characters already made with the system, and hopefully there will be lots of more  , so any logical improvement suggestions are more than welcome :)

@Jarkko: Well, displacing any ruler, be it a bishop, count or duke is a more of a mess to edit than just chartering a piece of land owned by multi-prov county / duchy / kingdom into a new county.

@Jarkko: Yes, stick to semi-salic laws.

@Aldo: I believe we should be more than four, as at least Nitram did show some interest in ICQ and there hasn't been any word from Rezag, Cheech or RedPhoenix... But if it seems we are just four, we'll just have to stick to that.

@Devil: Sorry to hear that you can't make it.

@Jarkko again: Can you host for us?

Possibly, if no other with better hosting qualities is present.

As Temperate and Indulgent will move to the 0-point section, would it be too late to change for my character Coward to Honest? :)
