Counter modifications?

I can't see where this has been answered before, so here goes: Anyone know how to edit the counters in the game? I never use the sprites at all (I find them distracting and less 'instantly informative') but would like to make some small mods to the counters.

Well if you trawl through this thread there are some good counter mods. Someone did an excellent NATO one - and for those who like it hardcore, there is a brilliant German symbol mod for the counters...

They are in here somewhere!

check out the counter color mod it changes the color for every country.
or another counter mod (scroll down a bit)

Thanks, but that doesn't actually help me...I obviously wasn't clear.
How do you change the counters?

Just search for the files shown at this thread in your HOI installation and edit them. Its easy
