Countries left out

I don't know to what extend Canada and Denmark are part of this game, but i would just like to take a stand for the two countries. It should be noted for anyone imagining a future scenario with an arctic crisis, that Denmark and Canada are active in arctic policies and defending their arctic sovereignty.

There was even a minor diplomatic incident between the two countries back in 2004 dealing with Hans Island in the Kennedy Channel.

Other than that both Denmark and Canada are quite active in grabbing claims to the arctic.

HDMS Esbern Snare just made a strong argument for the Absalon class with its very recent action off the horn. If I am not much mistaken; this is the second time this Danish ship helped make piracy less profitable.

Another exciting class for Denmark could be the brand new Ivar Huitfeldt class (http://forsvaret.dk/FMT/Materiel/Skibe/Fregatter/Pages/default.aspx and http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ivar_Huitfeldt_class_frigate) frigate. They are based on the Absalon class too, but these are made for direct combat while the Absalon class is merely a command ship

Germany is in the game. The Mediterranean powers will have to wait for a sequel/DLC/whatever that doesn't have the word "arctic" in its title!

I think it was said that France isn't in, I'm not positive though. To be honest I don't know how easy French ships would be to implement, white flags don't have SSM or SAM capabilities.

I wouldn't put any faith in a nation-master military ranking (for the same reasons as with the Global Firepower site). It tends to compare numbers rather than abilities, by manpower the Canadian navy is 28th but I'd guess it's not at that rank by any other measure.

The problem is that unlike Britain and France, Spanish navy is still called an armada. Official name for Spanish navy today is "Armada Española". No I don't think 1US supercarrier could stand against the modern Spanish armada. However we could send the Spanish inquisition instead... I mean, nobody expects the Spanish inquisition!
