Yes. No reason why the Beiyang government couldn't have conquered it, if it were not preoccupied with other matters.

I have not done any testing with claiming national territory, but in theory Zhili, Anfu, and KMT should have claims over all of China proper (including Taiwan), Outer Mongolia, and Tibet. We removed some of these in TGW as Mongolia and Tibet too often gave in without a fight.

I was doing some research into other parts of the Russian civil war and i found some info about what the Muslim Turkmen did during all this, they proclaimed their own independant state, with the help of....Enver Pasha and his Turkish Guard Regt. There were 2 of these indepedant Muslim states, Bukhara and Khiva, but we could role these into one. They were independant in 1917/1918 and were one of the last groups to be defeated by the Soviets in 1924 and 1925. I have some military leaders as well as i can come up with some Ministers, although there won't be many. For its tag, you could use Uzbekistan, as these two states make up the present Uzbekistan, but it should be named Bukhara. If you want i can post the nessesary information on armies, strengths, ministers and leaders later.

Please post them Kaiser Franz it should be interesting to see.

well there were many leaders, but most of them had the same goal, to create a Turkman state. The main states would have Bukhara,Khiva and Samarkand, but Bukhara would be the best name to name the new nation. Th Head of State would be, and this is a rough guess, Muchin-Bek, the head of government would be Ibrahim-Bek, that is untill after the Turkish defeat, from then on, Enver Pasha became a main leader of the Basmchi movement, there should be an event showing the Turkish support, that would give Bukhara Enver Pasha as a new minister for Head of Government and Chief of Staff.
The Basmachi, mainly in Bukhara fought untill 1926!
I'll post all the leaders and possible Ministers on the nessesary threads..

They would be considered part of Britsh Africa, and therefor already in it. My history of Rhodeasia is rather limited though.

Propaganda poster

I thought to add Rhodesia so that Britain can liberate it as a puppet but it happend later in WWII so I guess it's not such a good idea. But Rhodesian people did participate in Great war.

I have a question about propaganda posters for countries. Why doesn't the country Northern Warlords in TGW have a description and I have a propaganda poster for Montenegro so to whom should I send it?

Two tags will be set aside:

UZB for Bukhara
TRK for Khiva

Because no one could be bothered to write one. :)

You should sent it to me. Or to be precise, to the email address which I referred to you in a private message.

hurrah, Khiva and Bukhara! But i must say that the minister and leader lists i came up with were for both Bukhara and Khiva, and my books and sources do not tell me who fought for who and were, so for now i think it would be wise to just use Bukhara, but keep the tag aside for Khiva when the right information comes along.

If there's a free tag I wouldn't mind seeing Iceland as a revolter - but consider the following:

Iceland's legal status did not change between 1918 (recognition of independence in personal union with Denmark) and 1936. HoI2 has Iceland as part of Denmark, so we're not treating it any differently to the way Paradox does.

The terms of Iceland's independence included a commitment to permanent neutrality, without control of its foreign policy and with no armed forces! Somehow it doesn't seem a big loss to not have such a country represented separately in a strategic wargame...

In 1914, btw, Iceland was simply an autonomous province of Denmark.

Ok

Ok I see your point but when there's India I thought why couldn't Denmark free one of it's colonies but you are right it's better to preserve an empty tag if there is one for some better solution.
