Crash at the transition from landed to adventurer

My liege evoked my holdings. The game presented me with the options to decline and fight for them or to accept the revocation in which case I would be able to continue playing as an adventurer. If I accept the revocation the game informs me of loosing my titles, court positions etc but doesnt provide me with a possibility to continue playing as an adventurer. After I unpause, the game just crashes to desktop.

Additional gameplay question: Will I be able to play an an adventurer if I decline the revocation, fight my liege and lose the war?

P.S. The game also crashes for me if I try to change my graphical settings to lowest in the main menu.

Was this campaign started under 1.16.x patches? or 1.15 or earlier?

Campaign was started just after the 1.16.0 update, no mods.

The game keeps crashing at the described point.

I verified game files, tried Vulcan renderer, changing to lowest settings in main menu (crash).

Then this is likely to be a game bug I'm afraid! Please make a ne wthread in Bug Reports and attach the affected save file there, and given any steps QA will need to trigger the crash. Sorry for that problem!
