I've had it. I give up. I have crashed one too many times. This is ridiculous. After playing several MP games for way too many hours, I keep getting crashes on peace offerings. The game crashes, and we reload from the previous save, and it crashes on the next peace offer. This has happened the last few games we've attempted to play. We've tried going back a few saves, but it doesn't ever seem to get fixed. There are also occasional crashes during the game for no apparent reason. These other crashes may be causing the instability. I've wasted way too many hours trying to figure out what's going on, so I'm hoping someone here has an answer.

We're playing v2.1 of IGC, and 1.09 NA patch. Both PC's are Win2000, and the game is on a local lan. Any help would be appreciated, because I'd hate to have to stop playing this otherwise great game.

If you applied the 1.09 patch *after* installing the IGC then reinstall the IGC. It needs reapplying after every patch.
Otherwise try uninstalling the lot and *not* installing the IGC and see how you get on.

Crashing too

I am having a similar problem with the combination of IGC 2.1 and the 1.09 patch. I installed the patch first, then the IGC.

I am having a problem in the mid 1600's plaing Russia. I am getting the same random evet every 3 months (wave of hereticism) that increases revolt risk by 3%. If I click on the "history" tab on the random event window it crashes to desktop - every time (I tried rebooting, restarting the game). If I do not click history but select "ok" then the same event happens repeatedly. My revolt risk went upto 30% in all provinces and almost every one revolted with armies of 50 to 100 scumbags. Now I have fought very few wars, I made sure all my provinces are orthodox and have highest religious tolerance for orthodox, and I have made lots of marriages and alliances. I checked the saved game file and BB value = 0.

I cannot understand why I cannot stop this repeated random event that has basically ruined this game that I put 2 days into. There is no way I can play on with all my provinces revolting with hundreds of scum. I even tried changing the random event command line in the save game file to turn off random events but the same cycle kept repeating.

Anybody else having problems like this?

You're probably in the Time of Troubles. Those "random events" aren't random. They've been hardcoded to always fire for Russia around 1600. They're meant to simulate the great turmoil Russia went through around 1600 or so. Historically Russia was in a world of pain around this time, thus the IGC has attempted to accurately recreate this.

IGC v2.2 has the option to turn off the Time of Troubles for Russia, but you would probably have to start over if you wanted to turn that option off.

BTW, for my issues, I uninstalled EU, then reinstalled, then patched, then IGC 2.1. I still get those peace offering crashes. I'm thinking maybe the uninstall wasn't a "complete" uninstall. I'll try everything fresh again with the IGC 2.2.

Kman we will see if that is the problem because I did a clean install with IGC 2.0 after the 1.09 patch and am playing Russia again.

Also your point if correct still wouldnt explain the crashes to desktop. Even rebel scum aren't that good.
