I think that's everything asked for in the sticky.

I have intermittent crashes when autosaving. This ends up with a corrupt autosave of about 64 bytes, although the oldautosave file is usually good.

Is this related to game speed (I tend to play at extremely fast)?

Check with the Bug forum, IIRC they have a thread and also a work around to avoid it.

Can you point me to the thread? I see no bug list in the bug forum, and only 23 threads, none of which looks relevant. The Pure Virtual thread looks the most promising, but that doesn't seem to be the error I'm getting, and in any case there is no workaround in that thread...

Well here is the last thread in the support forum, look for a post by Havard on the second page, I think it suggests there is a work around.

Unrelated problem - in that thread, the user was trying to load a save game that was complete and corrupted with the U0019 count.

In my case, the autosave generated before crashing is 65
bytes in size, as compared to my 18 megabyte oldautosave.

It would take a lot more hand-editing to convert that autosave into something usable...

Has it ever been pointed out that you can spot a corrupt savegame by checking the file size? If it's something like 40kb instead of 18mb for example, you shouldn't even click on it, or POW!

Just checking..

Well this post led e to believe it was the same problem.

You do know there are two files for each save right. One is very small.

Any way post in the bug forum as I doubt it is harware related.

The .cfg file, yes. No autosave.cfg file is generated when I CTD in the autosave process. Additionally, my other .cfg files at around 432 bytes are still over 6 times as big as my 65 byte corrupt autosave.eug. :)

Done.
