crash on clicking save game tab

Have CH 2 on steam. Game "stops working" instantly upon clicking save game tab. Have uninstalled and reinstalled. Have deleted all saves, started on new game, save it, and then couldn't load that save. Patches up to date.

That usually happens when there is a corrupt save.

You could try to change the save location to the games main folder that might fix it.

ok, where do I find and change the checksum? How do I change the save location?

You find the checksum on the main game menu. It should be LNGM. If it is not, you either have not patched to the current version or your game installation is bad.

There is a known issue that causes save game corruption (the most likely cause of your issue), which is when you run out of disk space. By default your saved games are under MyDocuments which is probably on your C: drive, you can either clear more space there or move them elsewhere. How to do that is in the sticky thread at the top of this forum with "file locations" in the title.
