Crash on launch after movie

Hi everyone, I'm getting crashes when launching the game, right after the intro movie plays. This happens when either launching the complete pack, or Armageddon, atthe same place, everytime. It plays the intro movie, I hit escape, it resizes the monitor resolution a few times, then crashes out. This is using 1.0.0.1 I believe. Crash details -

Have you reied renaming the AVI folder (to, say... AVI_old) in order to bypass the starting movie? If it's just a BINK problem, that should fix it.

EDIT: Arrrgh... it's Vista... you'll have to turn off UAC first, in order to rename that folder.

Tried renaming the movie folder. It still crashes, but now it happens quicker

Same Issues

I have similar issues with both Vista 64 and 32 but mine will load start menus but once I choose the country I want to play (any and all countries I have tried - main nations offered and the smaller nations) the game crashes.

I have tried compatibly mode (the game crashes after the movie when I do this) I have uninstalled and reinstalled the application in my documents folder - so far nothing I have tried worked.

Any suggestions?
