Crash on Open

I just bought AoD from Gamers Gate. I installed it along with patches 1.03 and 1.04. When I try to run the game, I get a message that "Arsenal of Democracy has stopped working" and it crashes to desktop.

Any suggestions?

Deinstall the game and reinstall it. Use only patch 1.04. Please install it outside of program files, use a folder like c:\games\AoD.
If using Vista/Win7 try to run the game as Administrator.

Please specify the system you are using (hardware, OS).

I'm using an EEEPC 1005HA w/ a 1.6 GHz Intel chip and 2GB of RAM. The OS is Windows 7 32-bit.

I followed the suggestions you made, and the same thing happens when I try to run the game.
