So, suddenly my CK2 refuses to start. Between when it worked and now I've got a new screen, which is, among other things, a wide-screen. That is the only thing that changed. Is this the reason? How do I fix it? I tried reinstalling it.

Delete settings.txt file in the my documents -> paradox interactive -> crusader kings II folder. Its most likely because that setting file has a screen resolution or refresh rate that the screen doesn't support. Also HDMI cables are known to cause problems so if your screen uses that it might be because of it.
